Amcrest Smart Home "Server" down?
Re: Amcrest Smart Home "Server" down?
If you have not done a Factory reset at the Doorbell camera that is how everyone is getting things back up and running.. Not sure why or what happen to take down the connection that mine was on but after a Reset at the camera button is behind the faceplate on the right. Press and Hold it until you hear Basil or Bazelle however he spells his name says it is Resetting. Then once it is reset and ready you will press the button again a short press to turn on the Hotspot and then connect it as you did first time on the cell app you don't have to Delete it form your phone I did but don't have to... After a new connection all should be going on your app again...
Be Safe.
Re: Amcrest Smart Home "Server" down?
I would love to be able to do that however I am now over 1000 miles away from my remote AD110 device and no plans of being back there until November of this year. There has to be a way to remotely fix this issue!!
I was able to download the config from both remote and local device. My local device is working as I did not install it until 6/15. The compare between configuration was somewhat surprising. I am finding a IOS push notification in the remote devices configuration which is NOT in my local AD110 configuration.
I own ZERO (null) IOS devices?!? Did they take down the server due to it being compromised? Why is there an IOS device in my config with push status?
"MobilePushNotification" : {
"49CDE11DE84D5DF66A2170342D82FD6C_IOS" : {
"ServerType" : "Apple",
"User" : "ios"
The other difference was the "DMSServerIP" addresses and "Online" was false on disconnected AD110 device.

Re: Amcrest Smart Home "Server" down?
Interesting Did you buy the unit second hand? Or was it Direct from Amcrest?
Almost sounds like it was second hand and the system was not ever Reset to factory before it was sold to you?
Where did you find that info?

Re: Amcrest Smart Home "Server" down?
@srags - I believe the addition of the iOS mobilepush section was merely a new default config entry for this capability and does not indicate that any iOS device has connected (yet). Remember, over 2000 lines of new config entries have shown up in this latest firmware, probably mostly placeholders at this time.
I have this same iOS section as a new entry in my config as well, and I don't have any iOS devices connected. And no Revo - this is surely not an indication of a second hand doorbell.
That's an interesting find though that your DMSServer is showing "enable: false" on your remote offline AD110. Mine is working and showing enabled.
"DMSServerAddr" : "dms.zencamcloud.com",
"DMSServerIP" : "52.3.69.209",
"DMSServerPort" : 15301,
"Enable" : true,
All this implies to me is that my doorbell was able to connect to this server properly.
P.S> @Revo2Maxx - this info was obtained from http API config backup url I mentioned a few posts back. "DMSS" most likely refers to Dahua's mobile surveillance app, so it is interesting that Amcrest SmartHome may have a connection to the same backend for mobile access that Dahua DMSS provides.

@srags
Here's my theory on your AD110 problem:
From your posts, it sounds like you have deleted the AD110 from your remote Smart Home app. If so, you will have to add AD110 again in remote AH app and the app will try to connect to AD110 wifi hotspot. It won't be able to connect because the app device will not be within the AD110 hotspot wifi range.
Someone needs to physically reset AD110 and then add it to your app device while at the AD110 location.

Re: Amcrest Smart Home "Server" down?
@Revo2Maxx - I purchased direct from Amcrest two new AD110 and arrived unopened in shrink-wrap. I installed the first in Florida on May 30th and worked great until June 12th. The second I installed in Ohio on June 15th and is continuing to work correctly. Both are running the latest firmware.
@GaryOkie - Why would my FL device have the IOS push information section and my OH device does not.
I am wondering if I could use the http API to change the DMSServerIP to the IP that is working for my OH device?
and I do not think this section is a default section as it has the DevID, DevName and PeriodOfValidity configured in the section as if an IOS device setup Push Notification after this AD110 was online. I can also assure you that my Wi-Fi is secure (not open).
"MobilePushNotification" : {
"49CDE11DE84D5DF66A2170342D82FD6C_IOS" : {
"AuthServerAddr" : "",
"AuthServerPort" : 0,
"Certificate" : "",
"DevID" : "Z05xxxxxxxxxx",
"DevName" : "Front Door FL",
"Password" : "",
"PeriodOfValidity" : 500654080,
"PushServerAddr" : "das.zencamcloud.com",
"PushServerMain" : {
"Address" : "das.zencamcloud.com",
"Port" : 15901
},
"PushServerPort" : 15901,
"SecretKey" : "",
"ServerType" : "Apple",
"User" : "ios"
}
},
Has anyone tested the http API restore or is there a function that can upload the config from the config.backup file?

Re: Amcrest Smart Home "Server" down?
That was also my thought as well but I tested taking my OH AD110 and deleting it from the mobile application. Then disabling my Wi-Fi on my mobile device to force 4G. I then was able to re-add the OH AD110 back to the mobile application by entering the serial number. As soon as I did that the application asked for the device password. Shazam! all good.. So my working theory is if the FL AD110 can connect to the Amcrest server I should be able to add it back to my mobile application with only the serial number (which I can validate from the Amcrest IP Config Tool or the config.backup file) and device password. I tested that several times before removing the FL AD110 from the mobile app.jack7 wrote: ↑Fri Jun 19, 2020 10:10 am @srags

Re: Amcrest Smart Home "Server" down?
@srags - I think the answer to that maybe be directly related to why some of our doorbells are working and some not. Like you (on your working doorbell), I delayed installing the update until recently. I suspect that changes were made somewhere on the backend during this timeframe that may account for the differences. Remember the firmware update reminder repeated prompt was fixed on the backend, so other changes on the backend likely occurred as well.
The R&D that is ongoing may be trying to fix issues for earlier installs where a factory reset didn't resolve?
I would absolutely not risk performing a restore from a tweaked config unless you can get an assurance from Amcrest Support that it is safe to do.
Re: Amcrest Smart Home "Server" down?
Has anyone's doorbells recovered on their own yet? We're now on day 9 of this outage.. The only thing I receive back on my Amcrest support tickets is "has your issue been resolved?" No, it has not. It's as if support hopes the issue goes away on its own, or I just figure it out myself, which it looks like many on here are having to do. My doorbell is offline still in the app on multiple devices. Is everyone done waiting and resolving by factory resetting the doorbell at this point? It's ridiculous we still have no word from Amcrest for an official word on what we need to do to resolve this issue.
Re: Amcrest Smart Home "Server" down?
There is no real Resolution for this issue besides now it is able to be Factory Reset and get back online... I have 2 and because I was trying to get my issue cared for while I was at my Cabin I did a Factory reset and at that time did not work. Then 2 days later or 3 days so on what some where calling the 5th day I reset the one on my home and it worked.. So I went back 6 hours one way to the Cabin and reset that one and it reset this time.. So I am not sure what the issue was but the first time I tried to reset 1 no reset I was using the second one still on my NVR and didn't want to loose that function.. Even at the time I reset the one at home I didn't really want to because I wasn't sure we were on same FW and App release and it might have been an issue with such.. But I did and it worked... So for me Both of mine are back online after a factory Reset at the camera button.
