The "Login Timeout" error return with the FEBRUARY 16th update (iOS 3.40.0060). You fixed the error in the February 1st rollback version so you should have a change management log of the fix. I have switched to a different app because I cannot access any of my cameras with this Amcrest update.

AMCREST, Are you guys out of mind? You BROKE THE APP AGAIN with the FEBRUARY 16th update (iOS 3.40.0060)! Come on! go back to Feb1st version. This is so ridiculous.

Re: Amcrest View Pro (iOS v3.40.0057) - Login Timed Out
Amcrest,
Please fix this issue as soon as possible. I am now back to experiencing Login Timed Out issues on the Amcrest View Pro app given the February 16th update (iOS 3.40.0060). The prior version 3.40.0059 was working fine with respect to logging in successfully for those users with the app who connect using a DNS with a specific port.

Re: Amcrest View Pro (iOS v3.40.0057) - Login Timed Out
Hi everyone,
Please send us an email at [email protected] if you are experiencing a login timed out issue on the new app that was released on February 16th. This app only included a fix for a landscape view issue and no connectivity code was modified (meaning there was no modification of any connection code from the previous app version to this app version). This also seems to only be affecting certain users, and the issue cannot be replicated in our testing environment. Please include the following information in your email:
1. iPhone Model
2. iPhone software version
3. Carrier (T-Mobile, ATT, Sprint, Verizon)
4. Firmware version on your camera
5. Does the camera work using a Wi-Fi network?
6. Does it work on your 4G/LTE service from your carrier?
Alternatively, you can use an app named "Live Cams Pro" on the iOS store to utilize your Amcrest camera if you are experiencing issues. We are working to sort this out as soon as possible!

Raheel, e you should roll back the version on the app store. furthermore check your source control system. it is very evident from the version history you have reintroduced the problem first seen in version 3.40.0057. The quality of the product you are releasing is terrible. you should be embarrassed by the fact you need the users to reply with this information in order to diagnose the problem.
Re: Amcrest View Pro (iOS v3.40.0057) - Login Timed Out
Raheel,
I concur with narrowfoot in that you should roll back the version on the Apple app store and to check your source control system more carefully. Again, your February 16th version does not allow one to access cameras using a domain name service with a specific port (such as port "5555") as the user gets a "Login timed out".
1. iPhone Model: version 7 and version 6s
2. iPhone software version: 10.2.1
3. Carrier (T-Mobile, ATT, Sprint, Verizon): ATT
4. Firmware version on your camera: 2.420.AC00.15.R, build: 2016-09-08
5. Does the camera work using a Wi-Fi network? No, not through the Amcrest View Pro app on my mobile device.
6. Does it work on your 4G/LTE service from your carrier? No, not through the Amcrest View Pro app on my mobile device.
The issue is with the Amcrest View Pro app as other means of accessing the camera remotely (such as your desktop app Amcrest Surveillance Pro) work fine.

Thanks for this information, could you please send an email over to [email protected], or alternatively PM me the details of what you're describing so I can replicate this and get a fix out ASAP?
If this is affecting you, does it affect all ports that you have tried, regardless of the port number? Also, you state "does not allow one to access cameras using a domain name service with a specific port", can you confirm you mean a domain service such as No-IP (or any DDNS service)? Meaning theoretically, can you connect to your camera using just the external IP address of the camera and port, or does this also not work?
Can you connect to your camera if you utilize the serial number using the "P2P Setup" method instead? Or does this also fail?
