I am getting this error too, on the latest version of the app. Anyone have any workarounds? Works on desktop browser fine.

I've been having this problem occur on my Amcrest cams for awhile, and currently quite often. My hardware is up to date on firmware, and my viewer app for my iPad is also current. I've set them up via the IP/Domain function (my preferred method). This "Login timed out" problem is NOT resolved and is pretty irritating when you want to check your cameras. What good is a security camera system if you can't check them whenever needed?
Amcrest, what are you doing to permanently resolve this problem for everyone? And I don't mean workarounds or different connection methods.
P.S. My two cents, it's ridiculous to expect your customers to pull down and disassemble your cameras to perform a hardware reset to resolve issues.

The problem could be with your router's IP address changing. Go into the IP:Domain settings of the Amcrest app and get the IP address. Then go to http://canyouseeme.org and see what it says your router's public IP address is.
I thought it was the app crapping out until I did this. After I saw the app's IP was different than the router's IP, I changed the IP settings in my app. I am using the IP/Domain setup in the Amcrest app. Everything started working again. Apparently my ISP did some maintenance and my router's IP changed. So make sure the IP for the app is the same as your router's public IP.

I was having the same problem. I installed a 3rd camera and I kept getting time out issues on the new camera. I noticed one thing that was different when I set my camera up on the app. I added the new camera by IP address, not by serial number, probably because I was lazy. The other 2 cameras that I have never had problems with were added by serial number.
When I added my new camera via serial number I tested the app by disconnecting from my Wi-Fi and only using cell data. I've deleted the camera view and added the view several times, all with no problems, no time out issues.
To get your serial number, go to Amcrest Web View and enter the IP address, click on information on the lower left hand side, and click on version. That will give you your serial number.
