Re: Unable to initialize / connect to ASH43 camera
Personally I would keep to the IP camera family. Yet having the Smart Home device if you are not able to setup using an iOS device I would find a family member that has an Android and setup the camera on there, Then you can move the camera over to your AVP.. All smart home devices lack a WebUI so no...

Re: frustrated: Connection failed on Playback
Computer that is connected over Ethernet accessing a NVR or camera that is also connected over Ethernet, can't rule out a Connection issue seeing AVP is going to be working over a Wifi or Wireless connection and again can be a network related issue. Can easy be to many devices connected to a Router ...

Re: Adding over 16 cameras to 32ch NVR, not apprearing
Yes Ethernet port of NVR connects to Switch/Router/Hub and the other 16 cameras connect to same area. Then the router gives out IP addresses to your NVR and the cameras on the same range So as you can see in the picture below on my 4116E-HS NVR that has 8 ports POE and total 16ch. Ch8 is connected a...

Re: One camera worked fine now says network timeout.
If the cameras fail at distance and don't come back with booster I would make sure you are using copper cables and not CCA if cca the camera can damage even at short distance.

Re: Push notifications no longer working
Push is no longer working on AVP for me right now. I did ask amcrest about it and was told they are looking into it. Not sure why your AVP2 isn't working that is still working for me on and off local network seeing I use P2P setup for most of my devices. Why are you saying that AVP2 isn't a solution...

Re: frustrated: Connection failed on Playback
To be honest sounds like a connection issue. While you are on your local network I would ping the camera and use -t after the ip address of the camera and see what your return times are. If there is high numbers on your ping results or if there is some that time out I would look at fixing the cable ...

Re: IP5M-B1186EB Won't communicate
So it might be anything... First to mind is a distance issue. My guess is that your cameras are mounted? Or are you desk testing? If they are mounted what is the distance between the cameras location and the switch? Next if you are using a 8 wire cable and not using a dual camera setup on 1 cable.. ...
