Hello,

I am not sure why its still not connecting. It appears to be something specific to your phone and the app.

Except it happens on my brothers phone, on his network, with different cameras.

Hello,

Please give this a try.

Step 1: Add the camera to the app using P2P / WiFi Configuration / Ethernet WiFi Setup (If it is failed to connect error the camera will be saved to the device list automatically)
Step 2: Go to Device Manager > Tap on the camera name > Select the second option (Icon of a computer monitor)
Step 3: Select Camera Setting > Video Stream
Step 4: If the settings is in 'Extra' change it to 'Main' and make sure the Encode is MJPEG, Video and Audio is turned ON (Audio should be enabled for getting audio from the camera)

Well it kind of works. The video is so horrible that you really can't make anything out. Very pixelated. . I found out however that the SubStream (aka Extra) wasn't enabled on some of my cameras. I am not sure if they got disabled by the cloud or what. Once I enabled them I was able to connect again. I upped the quality and some are back in business! As long as I put it on a high quality setting. H.264H

So a step in the wright direction.....

Make sure you enable the Sub Stream/Extra

I have an NVR4108 with 4 cameras and have been able to connect using P2P from my IPad but not my IPhone. After reading Jordan77's recent posts I enabled Sub Stream/Extra on all my cameras and now it works from my IPhone. Maybe the IPad app uses the Main feed and IPhone app uses Sub/Extra? Anyway, glad to see it working, it's awesome, thanks!

Hello Jordan77 ,

Thank you for taking that extra step to figure out the issue. So it appears that most people with this issue has their 'substream' disabled. This is by default enabled though.

Could the Amcrest Cloud settings be overriding it?

I know I didn't change that setting, yet most of my cameras have it disabled?
