Hello everyone,
A new app has been released for Iphone in App store fixing the connectivity issue. Everything should be working fine now.

Has the update for Android not been released yet? I am still getting a "failed to connect" it will connect when I am at home on wifi but not when I am away from my home..... really frustrating. This never happened on the lite app and only happened when I downloaded pro. Now neither app works.

Same thing for me on my Android phone running Pro. Works just fine logging into the cameras via wifi on my PCs, but the Android app won't connect. Very frustrating!

I got View Pro working after following the Port Forwarding instructions. It actually took me less time to do that than I did waiting on LiveChat after they transferred me to four different 'sales people'....and still, there was no reply.
All good.
All good.

Hoping to get a response to this from MELVIN
I purchased the NVR (model - AMNV2m8) last Monday and finally have most things up and running. I specifically got the POE cameras to avoid any WiFi issues. I am able to access via Firefox on my LAN using the local IP address. I am also able to access remotely from my work PC via Firefox via DDNS through IP.com. Unfortunately I am unable to get the app to work for our Android phones - Samsung Galaxy S7. I input the same web address(using ddns), port#, username and password in the Amcrest View Pro app as I use in a web browser. Unfortunately I continue to get a "Login Timed Out" error despite repeated attempts.
I am using 4GLTE and have full bars. My NVR is hooked up directly to the router via ethernet cable and I have 75Mbps service do don't believe it to be a bandwidth issue.
Read about 20 of your posts related to this issue. Saw that the iPhone app was updated. Wondering if the Android app will be updated as well. It appears to be the original release from June 23rd. I tried the Lite app and that did not work either.
Thank you,
Brian

Hello jamiebrian ,
Just to double check are you using the TCPt port on the app which by default is 37777. If you want to access cam remotely on Phone the TCP port must be forwarded and open. If that is not the case, have you checked with public IP of your router instead of DDNS to see if its the issue with DDNS? Please let me know so that I can try and help you out with the situation.

I forwarded the port and it is open. I didn't choose 37777, but a different number. That said, I am able to access using a laptop and browser via DDNS and the port number which I chose, so that proves that the port is open, forwarding and that there are no issues with the DDNS. Just to prove it out, though, I just used the public IP of the router. I was able to access by using Firefox on my laptop. Unfortunately, the android app didn't work and I received the message, "Login timed out".

Hello,
So that all seems all right. Just realized that you are using the Qcam NVR -AMNV2m8 which is a different brand. So you will have to use the app called Qcam Link from the android playstore. You may need to add the media port of the device in this app. I apologize for the mix up.
