Amcrest Smart Home "Server" down?
Re: Amcrest Smart Home "Server" down?
Agree 100%! I wonder what the SLA for uptime we can expect as customers as well. Unacceptable.
Re: Amcrest Smart Home "Server" down?
While everyone is on topic of 3.5.0 and Smart home products that are not in the Texas time is your Time off? Because after the udpate my Time on the Doorbell and ASh21 is off 1 hour as I am in NY time zone and that is 1 hour ahead of texas time I am guessing
Be Safe.

Mine is still down - East Coast. Pretty sure it went 'down' Thursday evening. Using the iOS 3.5 app. Latest firmware. I cannot view the camera with the app. I know Wi-Fi is connected as I can see the RTSP stream on my NVR.
I emailed Amcrest late Friday - nothing back so far.

I have sent messages via social media -no response. Our doorbell went offline a few minutes after 4 PM on Thursday 6/11.
Re: Amcrest Smart Home "Server" down?
quote from Dan87:
Use Amcrest IP Config to find camera IP address, TCP port, and MAC address.
Set up router DHCP address reservation for your camera.
Set up router port forwarding for your camera.
Use a DDNS service if you don't have a static WAN addresss.
Another more secure method is to use OpenVPN on a router that supports it. Example is an Asus.
BTW, if you are recording AD110 on a NVR, just try adding your NVR to Amcrest View Pro using P2P, and view AD110 via NVR.
AD110 should be visible with Amcrest View Pro on a remote phone by doing this:Dan87 wrote: ↑Sun Jun 14, 2020 7:34 pm ... I also agree with the others that the doorbell camera should be visible through the Amcrest View Pro app too on mobile devices. I can view my doorbell currently while I am at home and streaming it via PC, but I can't view it when I'm not home. Not at all useful when the server goes down at Amcrest...

@Dan87, the doorbell's default tcp port should be 37777. if you use the amcrest ipconfig tool, ensure you don't change any of the doorbell configuration or risk bricking the doorbell. just viewing values should be benign.

Called and spoke with support today. Their team "is aware of the issue with their server and expect it to be resolved by the end of today."
Re: Amcrest Smart Home "Server" down?
I certainly agree with you that Amcrest IT needs to be on the ball and provide timely service alerts. I've communicated this to support the last time this occurred and they promised to forward it on.
Keep in mind that I am not having any trouble with SH server or app at all. So my conjecture is that they have multiple cloud servers (as they should) but a dysfunctional load balancer/fail-over.
