It seems that the pandemic has had a significant impact on Amcrest support and probably the (Houston-based?) dev team as well - based on how long it took to get the critical offline DMS server firmware fix out. Yeah, maybe the original experienced SmartHome developers are no longer with them? You would think their IT would be able to work remotely efficiently.Is their cloud development team a bunch of interns? This is terrible.
Amcrest Smart Home "Server" down?
Re: Amcrest Smart Home "Server" down?
@rd988 - Although it's really weird your DMSServerIP switched from a fqdn to an IP after a reset, I wouldn't worry about that just yet. It *should* update automatically as needed. I have no idea why you continue to lose connectivity after the weekly reboot. That alone should not change any configurations - it should just refresh/clear memory and restart clean. Does the app show "offline" or what?

Re: Amcrest Smart Home "Server" down?
here's what the config.backup shows:
looks like the doorbell is now keeping up with the changes without requiring a hard reset.
Code: Select all
"DMSServerAddr" : "dms.zencamcloud.com",
"DMSServerIP" : "34.204.247.47",
"DMSServerPort" : 15301,

Hummm interesting I just checked mine again and still working at 3.210.92.130
Be Safe.
Re: Amcrest Smart Home "Server" down?
My AD110 SmartHome app is showing OFFLINE again! WTF? I'm away from home so diagnostics are a bit difficult. All I can tell right now is dms.zencamcloud.com has new IP addresses:
3.223.203.58
52.21.95.170
So it's looking like whatever process the new firmware has for updating the IP's didn't work, or at least, not yet. I was expecting it would be an immediate and seamless update.
Anyone else offline?

Re: Amcrest Smart Home "Server" down?
config.backup still shows 34.204.247.47 despite server ips have changed to 3.223.203.58 and 52.21.95.170. my doorbell still shows online though. i'm on the 200702 firmware.
Re: Amcrest Smart Home "Server" down?
I VPN'd into my home network and created a new config.backup... the IP is 52.21.95.170.
From the remote public network I am on, I'm not seeing any response on port 15301 from:
dms.zencamcloud.com
52.21.95.170
3.223.203.58
34.204.247.47
Since you say you are online using the latter IP, I guess it could be this public network is blocking those ports? Still doesn't explain why it's offline on home network.
EDIT: I just now SSH'd into my home router and conducted the same port checks on each of the above IP's. Still no response!
So what gives now? It's not a fault of the new firmware at least. Am I the only one offline now? Time will tell.

Interesting.. I am still online and the IP mine is working from is 107.23.190.53
Be Safe.
Re: Amcrest Smart Home "Server" down?
Thanks - just tried a quick test on your IP and it responded. Then I tried some of the other IP's that weren't responding earlier and they responded too. Just tried again a few minutes later to confirm, and now they aren't. None are. This is just baffling.
power cycled doorbell, didn't help. wifi connectivity and rtsp still works though.

Re: Amcrest Smart Home "Server" down?
Well... I guess I would contact Support and start the RMA to get you another one... Shouldn't be any issues with being offline.. I will have a new one tomorrow.. While mine is connected it keeps turning Green on me.. Have to do a Reset to get it to come back to normal colors... So far my other one is working fine with no issues... Hope the new one that gets here tomorrow will work with no issues...
Be Safe.

config.backup now shows one of the current ip following the scheduled reboot.
Code: Select all
"DMSServerAddr" : "dms.zencamcloud.com",
"DMSServerIP" : "52.21.95.170",
"DMSServerPort" : 15301,
