friendly reminder: the smart home app is currently not working properly since the smart home server is down since the morning of june 12. you may be able to update the app through the play store but the app itself may not work properly with devices showing offline. there is no need to remove any device though since they will appear online once the smart home server comes back online. all devices are online and it's just the smart home app is not able to show them as online when the server is down.

Is this only with the app version 3.5 cause I'm using 3.3.6 and it works fine except I can't look at my SD videos locally.
Sounds like if I upgrade it gets worse, so I'll hold off until I hear better news.

I tried what you suggested...disabled BI to the camera and hard reset the doorbell. I deleted the device and app itself as well. Reconnecting to the fresh camera via the re-installed app still will not initiate a call or notify the app or ring the doorbell. Video feed works but no other features are working.amcrest168 wrote: ↑Fri Jun 12, 2020 9:25 am hi @catboxer and welcome to the forum. it appears your blue iris must have inadvertently modified the doorbell's configuration. the doorbell is designed to work with the smart home app and you're not suppose to use any third party app's control with the doorbell. my suggestion is to temporarily remove the doorbell from bi and perform a hard reset and set up the doorbell with the smart home app as your baseline. add back to bi but only for recording and don't touch any of the bi app control because it may be corrupting the doorbell configuration.

hmm...that is an odd behavior. does your indoor chime work when you press the ad110 doorbell button? btw, there is no need to delete the device from your smart home app if you're performing a hard reset on the doorbell. can you share the configuration screenshots of your smart home app? the app should normally work following a hardware reset. what is different with your setup from mine is the blue iris.

Oddly no, and it was working fine before the update. I haven't tried this, but I'm sure if I were to bridge the 2 pins the mechanical chime will sound. The button on the front must be purely for logic.

Ah.. so this is why both of my doorbells have been offline for a bit... a firmware update/server killed them?
The Blue Iris feeds from the AD110's were fine, but my app listed them as offline. I did a factory rest on both and rejoined them to the app and now they are fine, but... In the future I'd appreciate getting a pop up confirmation for any firmware updates that are going to require hard resets so that I can plan instead of relying on BlueIris to keep my security while Amcrest is on a firmware update holiday.

@Christopher72 - A hardware reset wasn't necessarily required for this latest firmware update. Not everyone who updated needed to do this. A reset was offered by Amcrest Support and confirmed numerous times in this thread as a workaround to resolve that offline app issue, which apparently is still ongoing.

@GaryOkie I'm not sure that's any better
-- but I'm sure you get my point from reading your other posts on the poor comms that Amcrest has for letting us know they have several ongoing issues in the last few weeks associated with firmware, servers, apps, etc. I'm back up and running and hopefully others are or getting there... good community here, wish it wasnt necessary!

OK, what is the final verdict on the firmware update? I am tempted because of the capability to specify how long the indoor chime plays. We have one of those chimes that play several selectable tunes. With the current firmware, only about 4-5 notes of the tune play. We changed to a ding dong chime which works a little better. But, If the new firmware has the option to set the length of time to play, I think we could go back to the tune player chime.

With the Ability to do the Chime 1 to 10 seconds is good for the ones that have an issue with Digital chimes.. Just keep in mind that if IR is on at night and your Transformer is undersized this might be an issue.
While I am not sure but I am going to guess that this 10seconds if longest is picked is going to be time that the Doorbell camera is using power form the 2 Super Caps that are inside the camera.. One thing that I still hear today is people that have IR on at night keep hearing Connection to network and B/W on and off over and over...
I would Install the new FW and new app.. After Rest it has been working good so far... However I am going to try one last thing that is in the new FW that I wonder if it had anything to do with server issue.. Have not tried since. So now I go try lol...
One last thing.. If you are one like I and don't want to use IR at night you can move from auto however if camera reboots that setting will have to be changed off Auto because after a Reboot the IR goes back to Auto...
