The motion detection no longer works. So far I have done the following:
1. Updated the firmware
2. Unplugged the camera from power and re-plugged it in to reset it
3. Cleared the motion detection zone and re-implemented it.
The camera is working otherwise. I can access from my local network, from my phone, and from my laptop browser over the internet. From my browser I command "Turn All Cameras On", but it still won't detect anything.
Anything else I need to check here.

Hello evilslumlord,
Are you facing this issue with Amcrest Cloud? Can you try deleting the camera and add it all over again in Amcrest Cloud?

Have the same issue. Motion detection and push notifications are not working.
Re: IP2M-841 Motion detection no longer working
It doesn't help your situation, but motion detection and push notifications ARE both working for me. iPhone 6s, iOS version is 10.1.1 Amcrest View Pro version is 3.40.0052
What doesn't help either is that I was at Home Depot tonight and saw the Amcrest IP2M-841B camera for sale for less than I paid for it on Amazon from FirstVison Technologies (Amcrest). Now you will have every neophyte running to tech support because these cameras can get hosed easily. These cameras work great (for me anyway) and once I learned the app and ipconfig and the plugin for Internet Explorer, I found out I could break the setup easily. I have my network password memorized from entering it so many times over the course of my learning.
I learn by doing, because the manual doesn't explain every nuance of the programs. All four of my cameras have been working flawlessly for over 2 weeks now.

Re: IP2M-841 Motion detection no longer working
other than a hardware failure it sounds like a cloud problem. amcrest cloud tends to over-write all your camera's local setting so if the setting on the server somehow twisted you will experience problem. I've ditched the cloud service since then and record everything to my NAS. Not a single problem ever since.

Having the same issue. I have updated the firmware, restarted the system several times and reset the detection area and turned it off and turned it back on. Nothing- it simply won’t work.
