changing ssid name
Re: changing ssid name
We're obviously missing something relevant here. So I can get it clear in my mind can you say what it was that forced a change in the SSID. Did you add another access point perhaps? Does your network just comprise of a router connected to a phone line/cable?
My AMCREST Cameras:-
2 x IP3M-941B firmware V2.620.00AC00.3.R, Build Date: 2019-12-18

Re: changing ssid name
I had to reset this camera back. After that, I was able to get it back on the wireless network. Thank you for the help!
Re: changing ssid name
Ok, new problem. I was able to connect to my camera yesterday on the wifi after a camera reset, now I can only connect from cel phones ( apple and android) to the camera. I cannot see it on my wifi network nor can I ping it, but it is up !!

Re: changing ssid name
2 things can cause this..
First it is on a Different IP stack then your Normal Network so anything on your normal network stack of say 192.168.1.2 - 254 say your computer was 43 in that <-- stack. However your new router is connected as a DHCP server and hands out it own IP and say that is in range of 192.168.34.1 - 254 and your cameras ip is 02 in that range.. Sadly that Router while it is connected to the network and was given access the internet the devices on the lower router or network range will not have access to that without setting that router to be a DMZ for the camera or by port forwarding the camera...
Reason you can access it from outside is because it is working over a P2P connection and only needs to have Internet access..
If you used ASP you could Setup ASP to work with the Camera SN rather then the IP address and it would then let you have access to the functions of the camera that is allowed in ASP sadly it isn't all the cameras features that you can gain access from WebUI...
There are options sadly it will take some work..
Another option depending on the Camera FW using your cell phone that has Chrome on 2019 or 2020 FW camera can access on Cell Chrome the features for the Camera that way as well..

Re: changing ssid name
So I was typing when you said your last post Please post a Shot of the Wifi IP for a better understanding of your problem
Also if your going to have your camera working in Wifi I would change your Default to wifi and don't leave it on Wire

Re: changing ssid name
Here is what a Camera looks like that was Setup on Wifi only.. This is a 841W from 2015 and was able to setup the camera on Wifi using the Tones when setting up the camera you will notice that the Wifi setting is Default.. you can also change that from your current setting of Wire to wifi by clicking the button next to that area when on Wireless and it will setup for your Wifi to be Default connection...
Because I didn't change any settings within my Wire connection area it is still set on the setting the camera came with from factory...
You can right click Image and open in new tab to look at the images in 1080 size aka full size to see the images better if needed
Notice the 2 different ranges

Re: changing ssid name
ASP? This is enabled under P2P to work with the serial number, is that what you are talking about?
Cell phone connection is through the app amcrest view pro.
Ok, so it just defaults to that screen upon login for the network TCP/IP. I was thinking that was what could have been logging the problem logging this morning.

Re: changing ssid name
Sorry ASP is Amcrest Surveillance Pro it is a APP that you can on your computer connect to view and even setup PC-NVR to record just keep in mind you would have to keep your computer running full time to record...
Anyway it can work the same as your Amcrest View Pro app.. I love the App my self and I use P2P.. So when you said that you can't log in your Camera WebUI but can over your phone that tells me that you connected your Cell on your camera over SN (P2P) and not using IP.. That is why you can still connect over Cell phone app
So as I said if that is the issue and your Router is on a network stack of its own you can setup that Router as a DMZ to the camera if the feature is setup in the device...
What this means is the ip address that you are connecting to the Router on if you have been anyway.. Seeing now your IP is 192.168.0.xxx if your same router is at 120. When you type that you can log into the router UI however if you were to setup as DMZ for the camera you will not have access to log into the routers UI after setting to DMZ that IP address would be a direct line to your IP camera...

Re: changing ssid name
Thats a good idea. I have a NAS that I need to reconnect to as well.
