@hawkeye62 , with the doorbell hot spot enabled, you connect your phone to the doorbell hotspot first before you scan the qr code. once the doorbell is recognize, you will need to assign a password to the doorbell and a recovery email address. last will be to join your own network.

That gives me the same result, "Please check your network".

did you get the message 'please check your network' when you're joining your network? or when you're joining the doorbell hot spot?
Re: Amcrest Smart Home "Server" down?
When I scan the QR code. Enable hot spot, connect to hot spot with my android tablet, add device, scan QR code, message "Please check your network".

Yes sir, the http API worked perfectly. I am sill unable to add the device back as it always goes to the "We must first enable your doorbell hotspot to continue" instead of the expected device password prompt (which tells me that the device has been deleted on Amcrests server side or some servers are still down).
My guess is something happened that deleted a large amount of registered devices on the Amcrest back-end servers. If that is the case, there is probably no fixing that except for a hard reset which is impossible for me.. I am still hoping Amcrest will have some good news and state that everyone's AD110 that was showing offline will work again if you did not already hard reset the device.

@hawkeye62 , do you have another android device? seems like something is not playing nice with the device add. if you have another android device to add the doorbell to your account, then perhaps log back in into your android tablet, and the doorbell should be visible. i recall the issue is not your network but something to do with your particular android build that is loaded in the tablet.

I didn't have to scan code when connecting to hotspot maybe the extra step is messing things up? Plus my server said and pass is stored so dont even have to enter it thank goodness seeing my pass is long

Now only Downfall I see about the Reset that I just did so I could get this back online is that the Time is now not only off by an Hour on my NVR but is now 2 hours off lol.. Hate the new UPDATE because before when my NVR would Sync time it would Sync the Doorbell time as well this feature no longer works and I can't find how to make it the right time either.. It is like it is getting time from the Server that it is connected to or something?
Be Safe.

No, I don't scan QR code when connecting to the hot spot. The Sentence "When I scan the QR code." was in response to a previous question about when I see the "Please check your network" message.

No, I don't have any other device I can use. My local network is solid. BUT, I am not sure what network the message is referring to. I can connect to the hot spot so that "network" is OK. And what "check" would I do? Do you think this is a result of the Amcrest server being down?amcrest168 wrote: ↑Wed Jun 17, 2020 1:21 pm @hawkeye62 , do you have another android device? seems like something is not playing nice with the device add. if you have another android device to add the doorbell to your account, then perhaps log back in into your android tablet, and the doorbell should be visible. i recall the issue is not your network but something to do with your particular android build that is loaded in the tablet.
