New Firmware Update for IP2M-841 today?

It seems like there is new firmware available ? 8 -> 9

So I clicked on the download new version and got an error that there was no update available. Checked the website and only the 9/8 version is there. However after a minute or so my camera rebooted ! WTH ? Was that some sort of stealth patch ?

Installed the latest firmware upgrade of 0004 to 0008 on my white IP2M-841. The camera is dead. Trying a factory hard reset did not work. The led on the back of the camera doesn't light up red or green. It's completely dead.

Camera doesn't even move after unplugging and replugging back power. lifeless.

I hope they release an updated firmware fast. 'G otherwise reliable cameras all have issues now, so stressful dealing with 12. All have issues, tried hard resetting. Schedules don't save, settings randomly are forgotten.

So my question is.... how did the motion detect get fixed in these cameras without a FIRMWARE UPDATE ??

Like others, after "upgrading" the firmware from Sept, I too have lost any motion triggered notifications (Android device). There has been a lot of talk here, so maybe I missed an answer. Are there any confirmed fixes?

As I posted above on Oct 5.... a few days before that my camera "magically" started working properly with motion sense. Was there a "stealth" update ??
