+1, some other Amcrest software will brick the camera if used incorrectly. Its really only designed to work with the SmartHome app.

Anyone get resolution to this issue? I have something odd going on. I can connect to the AD110, but not all items are changeable. Firmware won't update, won't reboot. Can't turn off Motion Detect. Get message " not connected to server".

hi @hawkeye62, i have a feeling your doorbell while it's connected to your wireless network but it could be suffering from signal attenuation and radio interference. for my own setup, i have a wireless bridge between the doorbell and the main router to ensure connection signal quality is ~94%. do you have a way to boost your network signal to your doorbell? either move the ap closer, an extender, or a wireless bridge?

Thanks for your reply. I have a wireless access point about 8 feet away from the doorbell. The AP is connected with cat 6 ethernet cable to my router which is about 8 feet away. I don't think there is a problem with wireless signal strength. I guess this is part of the Smart Home server problem?

the smart home app won't work properly at all if the smart home server is down. based on what you have described, i don't think wireless connection is the issue. we'll just need to wait until the smart home server comes back online. my doorbell is showing offline right now but i can see the live view on the nvr and it records fine.

Yeah, that is how mine acted until I tried to re-install Smart Home. If it ain't broke, don't fix it!

My SH app still shows my camera as "offline". I tried to reinstall the SH app and that did not help.

I am streaming the camera through Blue Iris fine, so the camera is connected, however I can not configure it or anything. What steps did others do to get it to connect to the SH server?

@rickfmn The way to get things to go back to the Smart Home app is by Resetting the camera at the camera.. You will have to remove the face plate then on the right side is a button.. Press and hold this button until it says it is Resetting once it is Reset then you will need to turn on the Cameras HOTSPOT by pressing the button not for long just a good press should enable it.. Then setup in your app..
Be Safe.

Thanks, stupid that it worked for some period of time on the new firmware and then just stopped on the SH app. Working now. (At least for now)

So mine just flipped out again, still on old firmware too. Worked fine last night. This morning offline in the app. Still rings the chimes when pressed so its got power. WTF????
