Re: New Firmware for AD110 and AD410 Available

I'm amazed at your inventiveness - as well as your impatience for a support reply!

Re: New Firmware for AD110 and AD410 Available

Your email/support request was sent 2 days ago on a Saturday. Amcrest support doesn't work weekends. That is an interesting approach you've come up with to monitor button push. But since you've mentioned using a Raspberry, you should look into Home Assistant or amcrest2mqtt. Button press and motion/...

Re: New Firmware for AD110 and AD410 Available

@GaryOkie, I have a ticket open that Eli is tracking for this. His last update is that devs would be back in next week to look into the eventManager issue. Hi kantlivelong - Do you have any update from Eli? I'm wondering if the developer's have yet acknowledged this event handling bug and are worki...

Re: New Firmware for AD110 and AD410 Available

Hi fennec62 - I assume you installed the update from the link in this OP, but didn't read any of the followup posts, such as: For anyone thinking about installing the latest AD410 firmware from the OP link - DO NOT - if you want event handling to work with Home Assistant, Hubitat, et.al. You are goi...

Re: External trigger record

Welcome Sneaky. Since you've found the API manual, review the Record Mode config that has a manual start/stop recording command. This is also briefly referenced in this support article using the camera web UI, not the API - https://support.amcrest.com/hc/en-us/articles/360023032051-How-To-Change-Rec...

Re: Amcrest user UNfriendly policies

Relax @GAAHTH - Foscam(US) - the original distributor of Foscam cameras in the USA severed ties back in 2016 and became Amcrest. They switched to selling rebranded Dahua cameras from then to now.

My comment "not since they were Foscam" meant not since 2016.

Re: Amcrest user UNfriendly policies

I agree it's a rather shitty policy to tie firmware update notices to also receiving product ads with no option to opt out of the ads. It's not too hard to ignore them or route them to trash/spam, but I sure wanted to be alerted to firmware updates. Well, now that I think about it - I don't ever rec...

Re: AD410 - bright line in night mode

@eko3alpha - I posted an update to this here: https://amcrest.com/forum/amcrest-smart ... tml#p42340

The good news is that the defect has been addressed and Amcrest has a new batch of doorbells ready to ship out via RMA.

Re: New Firmware for AD110 and AD410 Available

@spyrosj - if you are wanting an older version to fix the broken event handling issue, then you don't need the old, old version. The newest version provided by the link in the OP fixes that, and it works great. If for some other reason you need an older one, then you can contact Amcrest Support for...

Re: New Firmware for AD110 and AD410 Available

bryeartem - I can confirm the newest AD110 firmware (via link in the OP) works properly with event handling now. No release notes were provided but it does look like issues with WDR have been addressed. For anyone thinking about installing the latest AD410 firmware from the OP link - DO NOT - if yo...
