Hi folks.
I Must say I am not terribly satisfied with Amcrest online sales.
I asked (what I assumed) was a very straightforward question: I have a couple of IP4M wifi cameras for indoor use. I want to add 4 outdoor WiFi cameras (I have constraints!), plus an appropriate NVR. I explicitly told them I did not want a POE NVR, and that I needed to have network discovery of my WiFi cameras.
I expected them to provide me one or more options. Several times, I was simply disconnected from the chat session. When I finally did get a session going, I was given a bundle that was POE only. When I explained that I was looking for a NON-POE system, I was told to wait a bit. Seconds later, the session was disconnected.
So, while this may be obvious to most people on this forum, I am still looking for some definitive options, and am still unclear if there exists a suitabe combination of indoor/outdoor Wifi Cameras and a non-POE NVR.
IN the meantime, I must say that Amcrest needs to up its game with customer support. At this point, if there was a way for me to use my UIP4M cameras with non-Amcrest equipment, I would lean in that direction.
Worth Talking To Amcrest Online Sales?
Re: Worth Talking To Amcrest Online Sales?
I asked if any web browser can connect to a camera through the router. Sales replied, "You can try Edge." Duh...
