Hello all.
Trying to setup new NVR NV4108E-A2
Installed a 4TB HDD formatted with std Windows format. Got the message "Cannot Display This Video Mode", then the very load beeping on the first setup screen.
I reformatted the 4TB with FAT32, same result.
I changed the SATA cable, same result.
I bought a brand new 2TB HDD and formatted with FAT32, same result.
Tried another SATA cable, you guessed it. Same result.
What am I missing? (please be kind) be c ause I have to be overlooking something..
Thank you,
Tim
NVR setup "Cannot Display This Video Mode"
Re: NVR setup "Cannot Display This Video Mode"
Hello and Welcome to the Forum
Sorry don't know what you have tried other then what you have stated.. So here is what I would do
Install the HDD as you have it in Fat32, Then turn on machine, Then with the beeping going on if you didn't' turn it off already, You will want to right click, main menu, sign in, then click on Storage, then make sure that the HDD is even installed on the machine. If it is there then click the little box to the left and then click on Format. This will format that HDD for your NVR..

Re: NVR setup "Cannot Display This Video Mode"
The monitor/display input is not supporting the video output of the NVR. Could be a major resolution mismatch or simply a bad (or really old) HDMI cable -- or just an old monitor with limited rendering capabilities. Any adapters in the video connection could also cause problems.
Try VGA (if available on both units) and see if that works.

Re: NVR setup "Cannot Display This Video Mode"
So if Video is an issue and don't have access to VGA monitor, then connect to the NVRs WebUI using the IP address that was setup for the NVR before making the change to a Video Setting that your monitor can't display.. Going to the WebUI you will be able to log into the NVR, right click, main menu, display and in the page change to 1024 if your tv don't support 1080P..
Be Safe.
