NV4116-A2

Post by newamcrestdevice »

My previous owner had NV4116E but I couldnot get the factory reset despite multiple times on phone with Amcrest. Finally I got a new NVR which is NV4116-A2. I see in this there is only 1 ethernet wire. I tried to follow web UI to add the camera but it is coming inactive. Not sure what is a missing piece.

So your old NVR was a POE NVR and your cameras are they already connected to a power supply or a POE Switch? The camera will need to be powered on. Then the Camera will have if not setup for DHCP, It will have a 10.1.1.xx IP address starting with 65 normally.. So either the camera will require a reset or you can add in a second IP to a Win10 or 11 computer that will work with 10.1.1.xx. I have like 6 Ip addresses setup in my Win11 machine that lets me connect to all my devices when I put them on my Switch in my normal LAN area.. Here is another idea.. In your NVRs Gui change the normal IP seeing it only has 1 anyway change that IP to 10.1.1.64 and gate way at 10.1.1.1, Then reboot the NVR if it don't say that it has to, ONce back online do a search for your cameras. Then in there you can change the IP address to your normal LAN IP address. Once you change all the camera to the Normal Lan address change the NVR back to your local Lan and its gateway then setup the camera to work on your NVR.. Some Ideas.. Good Luck..
Be Safe.
