I've got two cameras trained on my drive. One is external and switchwa to night mode illuminating the area I'm interested in. The second camera is inside a window and up to now I have kept it in day mode to prevent the night time IR illumination glare back from the window.
The illumination from my outdoor camera gives a good picture with the indoor one but I can't find a way to allow switching to night mode but preventing the IR illumination coming on. This is with the IP2M-841B camera.
Anyone know - Is it doable and if so how (short of taking the camera apart and removing the led's ?
Keep IR lights off in night mode - how?

Re: Keep IR lights off in night mode - how?
Does the web interface for your camera have "Camera -> Configuration" and then "IR Light -> Mode Off"?
Re: Keep IR lights off in night mode - how?
The web interface shows Camera/Config/and then sub headings of Picture - Exposure - BLC Mode - WB - Day&Night - Night Vision.
I've tried all combinations (I think) of options under the Picture - Day&Night - Night Vision sub headings and ay night I can get a preview of the picture how I want it but after clicking "Save" and going back to the live view it switches back to normal daylight colour mode. I can get it to hold a setting in might time mode but only with the lights on.

Re: Keep IR lights off in night mode - how?
Well I don't know what I did differently but, I've managed it.
I would have liked to leave a more helpful ending for anybody else trying to do the same thing.
I should've been more systematic in my approach but I used the 'scatter gun' technique
p.s. - footnote on the morning after a successful night on IR with no lights. Previously on continuous day mode I was getting several hundred snapshots and almost continuous video recording. This morning I had 5 snapshots and 6 video recordings. It was worth it!
