I purchased a new IP2M-842E and hooked it up just in the house yesterday. Video quality works great but the IR lights are not working so at night the video is just black. A email to support said its probably defective which would be disappointing since its the first one of several I plan on buying but does anybody have any other thoughts before I RMA the unit. The night mode is set to Auto and powering the unit using POE.

You could try doing a hard reset on the camera. For this, I believe there are two wires on the back of the camera. You need to join these two wires for 5-10 seconds and the camera will reset. Apart from that you could try to using a power adapter to power the camera and check if its insufficient power from the POE.
