Totally love the price/performance of the IP8M-T2599EW-AI-V3, that team has 90% product less the Web API -- there are things that are missing/don't work. s


Real Solid Feedback on IP8M-VT2779E w/ processor SSC328Q circa 2023

The on-board web software for zoom and autofocus was complete unusable joke crapola. I would be ashamed to even showcase it. Seriously, shoot a video of it actually working. A focus filter isn't that hard: Take a scanline, sum up the difference between all the pixels on that scanline , when the summation of the difference between all pixels on that scanline is the highest, then you are in focus! When the difference is the lowest you are blurred out.

Tried firmware update -- there wasn't an exact one for that model either? Abandonment of product? WTH Amcrest? Tried the closest one, but no change.

Zoom was supposed to be 5x that means 5x closer, not 5 random unit-less increments.

Paid $200 for this thing solely for the zoom and I got a cracker jack toy! Totally useless. Wanted to use it a as a licence plate reader to get me in 5x closer. Pffff Shameful.


-No Audio -- on a 4k IP camera? How cheap can you get!

-No way to flip/mirror with web-based software in case you want to test it before you mount it!!

- Real bad fish eye effect.

This product is a DUD. Caveat Emptor!
