For the scaling issue on IE, the following work around can be tried.

1) Go to C:\Program Files\webrec\Torch\3.0.0.3
2) Select the WebActiveX.exe file.
3) Right click, select “Properties” then on the “Compatibility” tab, check the box “Override high DPI scaling behavior”, “Scaling performed by” then select “Application”.
Thank you Melvin...This solved a problem I was having for months.

Melvin,

When will we see an actual plugin that is supported by our browsers and not a "hack" work around? Why wasn't this fixed in the last firmware release?

Adding my voice to this thread. Amcrest, please upgrade your plugin to support newer versions of Firefox. Please also ensure that it works on Linux.

So it would appear I can no longer view cloud on IE 11 at all and other platforms are dodgy to say the least to get playback to work. So the camera I have and the subscription it appears is for nothing , will you be offering a refund for equipment and cloud programmes that people have paid for and cannot use ?

Hello skp20040 ,

The cloud should still work IN IE. You can try to clear the cache of the browser and try again. You can contact us for refund/warranty requests.

Firefox Quantum will be released November 14. Maybe Amcrest will work with that.....

I used Firefox but it kept crashing on playback and Internet Explorer just plain sucks. I called tech support after a update on Firefox and was advised the plugins will no longer work and was encouraged not to use. Amcrest Web View seems to work best. Amcrest Surveillance Pro works well too.

Melvin,

Can you please explain why plugins have been an issue for over two years? Amcrest first promised a fix in September of 2015. Why is this so hard for you guys? This issue consumes much of the Tech Discussion board and has for years. WHY DO YOU REFUSE TO ADDRESS THE PROBLEM?

Please have the decency to provide your customers with an honest explanation as to why we are still dealing with this and when it will be addressed. And if you're not planning to address it, just say so. And please ask someone to forward this post to Adam Ravat. Maybe he has the stones to chime in with an honest answer.
