DVR keeps beeping and then reseting

The last day or so, it keeps restarting and gets stuck on the "system is initializing, please wait..." screen. I can hear the hard drive clicking over and over and over again..eventually it just reboots and starts the same process over. What is happening here....sucks to have such a new product already acting up

I called support and they told me to email [email protected] because it sounds like defective hardware. The HD sounds like it is stuck in a loop. I took the case off and see it is a seagate hard drive.

Any chance I could just replace the hard drive? What would need to be installed to use a fresh HD? I'd like to avoid sending in the hardware, plus I have spare hard drives laying around

Hello rondog,
I would suggest you call in and speak to our RMA dept directly regarding this. You could try installing a working hard drive on the DVR and see if it works. You need to go in to the HDD manager option and format the drive before you can use it.

I've had a similar issue on 4 brand new straight out of the box DVR's since July. All of them have the no HDD Disk error. Hard drives sounds like it is skipping. Support seems lost of what to do. Not sure how I keep getting sent a replacement that has the same issue on each one?

We have had this same issue for months... Called tech support, emailed tech support, kept getting the run around and still have no actually help or working DVR. It does not allow us to use what we pay for.

I had the same problem. It turned out to be my power supply cable. So try that before you try anything else
