Camera Recording Flashes At Nighttime

We have a AMDV72116 system that has worked as good or better than systems that have cost us thousands of dollars. It has been very reliable and always there for us.

We recently installed another camera to the system and it seems like in the early evening as it transitions to the "night vision", the recording just become brief flashes of light all night long. The guys in the shop would notice it in the morning and go up to the camera to unplug and back in and it works again...but same thing...when it gets darker and goes into night mode, just records flashing all night.

Any suggestions?

I have verified this does start when the other cameras on this system change over to night vision. This one has problems changing over to night vision and then just flashes off and on until we unplug/plug it back in. We tried another camera and same problem.

It might be because the new cameras are not getting sufficient power to enable the night vision. How many cameras are connected and working now and do you use additional power adapter for the new cameras?
