Hi guys.
i have an ASUS RT-AC56U router. It has the ability to use ftp, as a matter of fact ive set it up and it can be accessed by all computers on my network. The last week i have tried everything i can think of settings wise on my AMCREST bullet cam, none if the settings seem to let the camera communicate with the shared directory. i do not get any directory folders created. nothing. there is not many settings to set within the cameras ftp tab i dont understand what im doing wrong.
Any help would be great.

What is the root folder on your router's ftp server? Maybe a typo?
I do this on my asus router and it works just fine.
Have you created a user for the camera to use to log in to the ftp server?
Have you given the camera the user name, password, and ftp server address and port?
Have you given permission to the CAMERA USER to login to the ftp server?
Does the CAMERA USER on the ftp server have the appropriate permissions to write files to it's home directory?
