for some reason i cant add using P2P method. "Failed to connect the device via P2P"
- camera is on and working fine via browser and windows app too
- phone is on the same nethwork as camera
- initialization is also done i guess as camera works and if I add it to phone app via IP dont have any issue on local network
any ideaS?
IP5M-T1277EB-AI - Night vision LED visible?
Re: IP5M-T1277EB-AI - Night vision LED visible?
camera is mounted a bit far from me (router) can it be a reason? I mean if i go stand right in from of camera wifi wont connect that far
Re: IP5M-T1277EB-AI - Night vision LED visible?
So using the WebUI log into the camera, Then go to Setup, Network, and then Access Protocol and make sure that itis enabled.. Next need to make sure that the DNS points to a good DNS server. I use googles 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4. Then also need to make sure that the IP info is working and correct for IP on your lan to access the Internet. Don't Miss understand my intention.. What I mean.. If your network is on 10.0.0.xxx and your camera is setup for 10.1.1.xxx it will not have access to the internet because your router don't route that IP.. So good IP, Good Gateway, Good DNS and that the Access Platform is enabled.. If it is showing online then you will need to make sure to use the correct user and password..
One last thing not everyone uses it But to keep people off my Lan or Wifi I also have my Router setup to give or take access to the internet at IP level. So if your setup that way as well need to make sure your camera is granted access.. So for me when I bring in a new IP camera. I have to log into my router and go to connections and grant the camera access to use the internet again not giving it access to my WAN IP just telling the router that it is ok for it to access the internet just like my computers go to a webpage but going to my WAN Ip don't access my computer.. Just trying to make sure I am clear about what i am talking about.. Some People keep their router info KISS I like to make things difficult for the ones that don't belong lol..

Could not find "Access Protocol" in settings. as for IP`s and DNS looks okay I think
router is provided by the internet provider and I dont have access to it`s interface but dont think it has any restrictions for access at IP level.
Just noticed P2P is enabled but status says "Offline"

Re: IP5M-T1277EB-AI - Night vision LED visible?
Yes sorry that is it. P2P under Network and on some TCP/IP and others it is just under Network on the left at the bottom. Access Protocol is for other systems that I have.. Sorry I forget sometimes what is what..

Re: IP5M-T1277EB-AI - Night vision LED visible?
So you are not alarmed I also fixed your P2P image. Don't need any trolls getting your SN from your QR code so I crossed it out for you.. I know your system isn't online yet but when it is you don't want trolls trying to access your system without you knowing about it..
Is your system Ip in the same range as your camera? I know you are able to access it with your computer? SO I am guessing it is unless you are just using a laptop or desktop to access camera and not the same computer that you use to access the interent..
Press Windows Key and R at same time and type cmd in the box, then in Command prompt type arp -g and it should list all your connected devices on your connected network, Are they all the same range iP, You might have some 2xx type IP addresses ignore them they are multi cast IP addresses.. They all should be with same range as your camera. Plus your camera is using a Dahua/Amcrest Default Ip address and that really should be changed.. I never leave my Ip addresses as default. This way when i connect another that requires changes to the IP I don't have a conflict...

Re: IP5M-T1277EB-AI - Night vision LED visible?
So with little to no access to your router it is going to be hard to know if your ISP has blocked the ability to access cameras using P2P.. I have more then 50 cameras on my current network some connected to POE NVRs others connected to POE Switches on my Lan in Vlans and all the ones that I have given access to the internet I have P2P access and able to send emails on events from the cameras and DVR/NVRs on my network.
Something to try. Reboot your Router, Wait for it to come back online, check that you are able to access the internet on your computer, Then log into your camera and reboot the camera and see after the camera comes back online if the P2P was able to be enabled?
Something to also check. Some routers are setup to block devices that try to connect UPnP, I would also double check your camera and make sure that UPnP isn't enabled as that might be why the Router is blocking the camera?

Re: IP5M-T1277EB-AI - Night vision LED visible?
can you please screenshot or somehow show me how does the page look like where you give a certain IP an internet access in router settings? maybe i`ll be able to reach to ISP and ask them to check and possibly fix it for me
UPnP is disabled
Re: IP5M-T1277EB-AI - Night vision LED visible?
I doubt that is the issue with your setup. It would be that way for all devices. Meaning on my device anyway all connected items are blocked by default and I have to give them access.. So I Blocked one but it is normally given access to the internet I just wanted you to see what it would look like by default when I setup a device this also means every camera that I setup on my local network I have to give access to the internet.
This means if you were setup with something like that and you didnt have acess to the router your computer or your phone or what ever you have connected to the LAN wouldn't have access to the Internet unless you give it access..
If you want to setup something to give you access now.. I would look into NGROK.. That is a tunnel service that you DL the app and access it, Then you type the command for your camera like ngrok.exe http 10.0.0.237 and this will give you in my case a https URL with my real IP address and some other info that when you go to this address you will be able to log into my camera..
But here is a picture.. Not all my devices but you get the general idea.
