I have a few WiFi cameras and a doorbell; on Android I am using Amcrest View Pro 2 for the cameras and Smart Home for the doorbell.
The doorbell works via LAN IP on the View Pro 2 app, but not via p2p.
Is there a way I can have all cameras on the same app, working both via LAN and via P2P?
Single app for cameras and doorbell?
Re: Single app for cameras and doorbell?
Would look into buying an Amcrest NVR, This way you can put all your devices on 1 device and have that connect using the AVP2 using P2P and that will give you the access you want to be able to look at your doorbell. Even if you had access on 1 app by the way there is a new AmcrestLink device that requires yet another App.. So yeah as I was going to say even if you were able to use your AD410 or Ad110 on the AVP2 it wouldn't work with being able to answer the doorbell if someone presses the button. So to monitor. 3 options. Get another camera for the Front Porch that can work with AVP2 and access the doorbell with Smart Home app.. A NVR..
There is no 1 app for all in most lines of Security Cameras.. Doorbell is a Smarthome device that uses a different P2P server Tech..

Re: Single app for cameras and doorbell?
I understand that I'd still need the smart home app to answer the doorbell "calls", but I don't see a good reason why the AVP2 app shouldn't support the doorbell as a camera.
I am not going to buy an Amcrest NVR because of a problem Amcrest created in the first place, but thanks for your answer.

Re: Single app for cameras and doorbell?
Well I am not employed by Amcrest and my Answer was just an idea of a Solution to a problem and what I would do. Deals can be found on Ebay for very low cost used NVR. I mean a while back I seen a 5xxx series Amcrest that sold for less then what it cost me to fill my trucks gas tank. I never get that lucky.
