New setup in new home NDVR
New setup in new home NDVR
Just moved into new home. Had to move everything from working setup of NDVR and 6 cameras. Now need refresher of steps to set up NDVR and some old and some new cameras. Have attached NDVR to new modem and set new IP for NDVR in the 192.168.1 range. So far OK. Tried adding new cameras and they all took on 10.1.1. IP addresses on the NDVR. I did not want this and in the NDVR software nowhere can I change the addresses to 192.168.1 range numbers like the NDVR. The place where I expect it to be won't let me change the IP address! I am logged in as admin in the admin group. Let's just start with this problem. Next - or maybe first - what are the steps for a brand new camera to set it up with desired IP addresses? BTW, all attempts to add devices etc with Amcrest View Pro app on my phone tells me that the devices already exist. I cannot change settings. Any help would be appreciated greatly.
Re: New setup in new home NDVR
You remove cameras from app and add back in. Keep in mind only devices connected to your lan can be added to app. Cameras on poe port of NVR can't connect via app. You access then through your nvr

Re: New setup in new home NDVR
Is there an explanation for why the NDVR would not allow setting an IP address? The address that got assigned was the range of 10.1.1 which I don't want.

Re: New setup in new home NDVR
The info is the ip range for switch of your NVR can not be the same as your home or office lan. So by default the ip address set by POE NVR from Amcrest is 10.1.1.65 and up. You can change that ip to your needs but can't be same as your normal ip range.
To make different ip go to GUI of NVR, main menu, network, switch. You will change as you like and NVR will reboot and cameras will have new range of ip.
