IP2M-858W Live View Fails to Connect
IP2M-858W Live View Fails to Connect
Without warning the Live View will not connect. Error banner displays "Username or Password is not correct". How do I update to new password to regain Live View and app control?
Re: IP2M-858W Live View Fails to Connect
So had something all typed out and lost it.. Not going that this time lol.. So will be much shorter..
My guess is that you have AVP2 if you don't DL and install it and setup your camera new..
If you do then being up AVP2 and click on the device you want to change, Then click the top right icon, Then at the top of that window where the name of the device is click on the box with what looks like a Pencil in it.. Then at the bottom that is to change the password if you already know it. The line right above that is password it will look like you can't do anything just click it or touch it however you like and it will bring up editable area. Put in the correct password and should be able to connect..
However if you don't know the password for the camera you will need to get to the camera, remove 4 scews off the back and click the Reset button and hold until the camera starts the dance..

Re: IP2M-858W Live View Fails to Connect
Thank you for your quick reply. I am currently using the old AVP app. I DL the AVP2 and was able to detect the camera. Adding the camera name, and the password added in the initial camera installation as expected returns the same error, wrong user or password. By your guidance my next action is to manually reset the camera. Question- with the reset require that I need to do the initial camera; ie: IP configuration again or will the reset camera be detected by the AVP2 app so it can be configured by the app?
Re: IP2M-858W Live View Fails to Connect
So When you reset the camera you will need to setup the camera again.. However there are some things that could be done.. One if you make note of the Serial Number, You can add it back to the app using the serial number manually and set it up..
Yet if there is an issue, I would look at adding that cameras IP to your Routers static pool. Then when you reset the camera back to factory it will come back online on the IP address that it was already on because it finds the camera with the Mac Address and notices that you want that device to have a static IP.. Then you would just make a connection to the cameras IP and setup camera..
Some cameras when you first setup it will ask for user and password. admin admin.. Then others when you go to the IP address for the first time it won't even ask for password just tell you that you need to setup one.. But the key is to know what the IP address is after a reset. You can 1 find it in your Router and Remove access to the internet, If your router has this feature. Then when it comes back online after reset it will show what new IP don't have access to the internet pool and you know it is that camera.. My 858 is remote to me so I don't want to reset it to tell you how it will act because if I loose acess with it would need one of my kids to go recorver it seeing they are 2000 miles closer to it lol.. Anyway If you have IP camera tools you can find it with that..
Either way if it is not able to get logged into I mean you find the WebUI? or is it not even bring up the WebUI? Did you setup Wifi or Wired?
