Yep, ipconfigtool is what you need to use for manually installing firmware outside of the SH app, even on ADxxx doorbells.

EDIT: I'm happy with the AD110 version available from the download link in the OP. The new AD410 version - that's a NOPE.
New Firmware for AD110 and AD410 Available
Re: New Firmware for AD110 and AD410 Available
Thanks for the quick reply @GaryOkie . Not a moment after reading your post I pulled the trigger and successfully upgraded to the 2022-12-13 firmware build. Overtime I made a lot of changes (cautiously) to the config using the http API such as disable or renaming external servers to point to a sinkhole server, changing the admin password and such but was surprised to see it take fine. I have a heavily modified version of the amcrest2mqtt that I use and tested everything from doorbell press notification, to motion sensing and such and it appears to function as before the upgrade, so Im happy with it.GaryOkie wrote: ↑Tue Jan 31, 2023 8:50 pm Yep, ipconfigtool is what you need to use for manually installing firmware outside of the SH app, even on ADxxx doorbells.

There still appears to be the issue of the device rebooting at night if you start the RTSP stream - starting an RTSP stream automatically sets the Lighting[0][0].Mode to 'SmartLight' and within about 2 minutes the device reboots. But my script automatically changes the value back to 'Manual' when the api notifies of a new RTSP stream so I still have to apply that patch.
Additionally I took a config dump before and after the upgrade and ran a diff against it. Here was the result if anyone is interested. ">" is the new config dump after upgrade. Looks like they added ActionTimePoint[0][0].ActionType to the config which wasnt in the old configs.

Re: New Firmware for AD110 and AD410 Available
Thanks for this update! Sorry to hear the RTSP>SmartLight bug is still present.
"ActionTimePoint"??? It's certainly not obvious what this that new config relates to. Perhaps it will be evident in a future SmartHome app update.

Re: New Firmware for AD110 and AD410 Available
I'd like to see a full change log between versions. Currently my AD140 runs 2021-06-10 and I have no clue what has changed so far.
Also why app says there is no update available?

Re: New Firmware for AD110 and AD410 Available
Does anyone have the older version of the AD410 firmware? I'm trying to get a hold of the bin file to reflash it.
Re: New Firmware for AD110 and AD410 Available
@spyrosj - if you are wanting an older version to fix the broken event handling issue, then you don't need the old, old version. The newest version provided by the link in the OP fixes that, and it works great.
If for some other reason you need an older one, then you can contact Amcrest Support for it. It's curious why you would need it though.

Re: New Firmware for AD110 and AD410 Available
Are there any issues anyone has ran into updating the AD110 to 2022-12-13 firmware? I know I saw issues with event handling, was that with this version or the previous?
Re: New Firmware for AD110 and AD410 Available
@bryeartem - I can confirm the newest AD110 firmware (via link in the OP) works properly with event handling now. No release notes were provided but it does look like issues with WDR have been addressed.
For anyone thinking about installing the latest AD410 firmware from the OP link - DO NOT - if you want event handling to work with Home Assistant, Hubitat, et.al.

Re: New Firmware for AD110 and AD410 Available
@spyrosj - I meant to confirm that only the AD110 firmware from the OP link is good to go (NOT the AD410 firmware!)GaryOkie wrote: ↑Wed Feb 01, 2023 2:42 pm @spyrosj - if you are wanting an older version to fix the broken event handling issue, then you don't need the old, old version. My apologies for any confusion.
