Doorbell only records when doorbell pushed

I have motion turned on, with the range set to maximum. The doorbell used to record when motion was detected. Now it only records when the doorbell is pushed.

Hello and Welcome to the Forum...

First and most important question is did you do a FW update on the camera when you got it? Or are you using the normal FW with the 3 half moon motion grid? Or you using the normal full Grid...

When you pick the Motion grid the manual may be confusing people... You want to make sure that the Grid is Red for the area your want detected... So if your Grid is clear then no detection... For me I have mine off now and only want recording when button is pushed but that is because I have it going to a NVR that is recording 24/7 and have other cameras that already are set on motion anyway...

SO back to the FW? Did yo update? If you did did you Reset the camera? This has to be done at the Camera... There is a button at the same location as your MSD card...
