Amcrest Smart Home - "Network Error" cannot login

Ditto! Smart Home App worked until 12/21/24, It continues to say "Network Error" & All my Cameras are No longer listed under devices. I called Amcrest Tech support in "India" and was told to Uninstall & Reinstall the App. Same thing, "Network Error". Tech support then suggested I go to Amcrest
Com/support and submit a ticket. I asked why would I do that & wait days for a rsponse when I have tech support on the phone that should be able to assist me now. He just replied for me to submit a ticket for help. WTF? Absolutely a joke! Tech support can only advise to Hard Reset or Uninstall & Resinstall... So sick & tired of Amcrest Not putting enough money into their Crappy Apps, But are always offering New Style cameras for sale. Just some FYI, If your Software & Apps dont work on a daily basis as customers expect, word will travel quickly through Reviews, Forums, & Social media from current Customers who are fedup with their Amcrest Camera/Apps Consistently Malfunctioning & to Avoid Buying Amcrest Products. Cameras for Security is Necessary to work 24/7. Also, Tech support Must be here in the United States & Operated by Qualified Employees that know how to solve problems without reading a how-to manual to a customer with Amcrest Products that dont work as Advertised

JUST GIVE US AN ETA! This would be so much less frustrating if we just knew about when it might work again. At least acknowledge the issue. Tell us what is going on. Anything. Just being ignored is the worst thing you could do to us.

I opened a ticket with with my original post 2 days ago and have heard nothing back. So I ordered an ReoLink Doorbell Camera (should arrive today). If it works at all, I won't go back. It appears Amcrest pulled a Crowdstrike and just don't care.

In my experience amcrest never acknowledges an issue on their end, so an ETA of resolving the issue is unlikely. One can only hope, and seriously look into alternatives.

Post on X - one person got hold of them on the phone, and they "accidentally admitted" there was an issue - i'm keeping eyes on that thread on twitter / x also

Just spoke to someone via phone technical support (not very supportive honestly) who confirmed they are aware of a technical issue with the software/program and are currently “investigating” and offered to email me with an update when they know more. Not very promising. I also told her there’s plenty of users online that are experiencing issues that would like to know what’s going on so a public statement would be beneficial- my comment was ignored. I tried!

Clearly, all the cameras are still online, and viewable on Amcrest Surveillance Pro (and perhaps on other web based apps)... I'm also receiving camera event notifications on Android. Hopefully they will soon update the Android app itself to restore its functionality.

OH *clearly* I was unaware that you could view the Amcrest cameras via web or other apps? Can you give me more details? What is working? Can you attach links to downloads please? Thank you for your help! My family member cannot even log in via Amcrest Smart Home App so has had zero luck getting anywhere near viewing her cameras that are located out of state. Unfortunately everyone has a different situation.
