Hi there
I have two AD110 doorbells. The front door is on firmware 1.000.00AC006.0.R.200828.
The side doorbell is on 1.000.00AC004.0.R.200702. The side doorbell says the firmware is up to date, when this is obviously not the case. It also has lousy motion detection, whereas the front door has very good now it has been updated.
Is there any way I can manually update the side doorbell?
AD110 New Firmware??
Re: AD110 New Firmware??
200702 is current since 200828 was recalled a few days after it was released. There was no explanation why it was pulled and there is no known way to either update to it or back it out.
BTW - your positive experience with 200828 is the exact opposite of what others have reported - which just adds to the constant weirdness with this doorbell's MD behavior.
See yesterday's "AD110 pressing button don't call..." post from Revo for an example.

Re: AD110 New Firmware??
Lol, I'm in Cape Town. Maybe it takes Amcrest a while to push things through to a destination half a planet away.
I tried to update firmware using the Smart Home App and nope, one is on 200828, the other on 200702 and both doorbells say firmware is up to date.

Re: AD110 New Firmware??
To my knowledge, Amcrest firmware updates are pulled (not pushed) from a single US server, so your Mother City location is just as timely.
When the 200828 update was retracted, the "current_version" on the server reverted to 200702. I assume the firmware check is "if installed_version >= current_version" then device is up-to-date. That should explain the conundrum that both your doorbells report being up to date.
