Live Feed Missing from WebUI Using Microsoft Edge

I have the Amcrest IP4M-1063EW-AI-V2 camera. I’m connecting to the WebUI within the camera using Microsoft Edge in Internet Explorer mode within Windows 11 as a guest under VMware Fusion on MacOS. Initial impression is that the WebUI is functioning well but the Live feed doesn’t display. I have the screen resolution of the Windows guest set to 2560 x 1440 which matches the resolution I have the camera set to.

Does anyone have any ideas on getting the Live feed to display. Please note that I also have Chrome installed on MacOS and I do indeed see the Live feed when connecting to the camera. Mind you that there are other issues with the WebUI under Chrome which is why I’ve installed VMware with the Windows 11 guest under MacOS to access the camera through Microsoft Edge in Internet Explorer mode.

Plug-in missing is my guess, when using IE mode will need to install plug-in for video to show, if installed normally says need to close and open again. If you did install plug-in then I would close edge and start again

I was prompted to install the plug-in when I first connected to the camera in Microsoft Edge. I did indeed install the plug-in, restarted Edge and have confirmed its installation by examining the Webrec folder under Program Files (X86) folder. I’ve closed Edge several times and have confirmed I’m in IE mode when accessing the camera’s IP address. I’ll uninstall and re-install to confirm the installation of the plug-in. My experience thus far is that you’ll need a lot of patience to use the advanced features of the IP4M-1063EW-AI-V2 camera if you live in the Apple world. I’m beginning to regret my purchase.

I dug into Edge a bit more and found the settings when in IE mode. See below screen capture confirming that the Amcrest plugin is indeed installed.

Strange, While I know your using Mac with VM just my Edge and plug ins are loaded different and called different..

Are you using Edge in IE mode? I also tried using Edge without IE mode and had the same results of the Live feed not displaying. I guess I'll try removing the plugin and installing it again.

Coming back here to let viewers of this post know that Amcrest has provided a new level of firmware for my camera and it thankfully resolves the issue. Take care.
