Push Notifications not working amcrest pro app

Post by pdxrealtor »

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app. I've gone through all of the settings both on the NVR and the APP. I've tried setting the push notification to come as live view, video, and image - none work.

I followed instructions here - https://support.amcrest.com/hc/en-us/ar ... ifications

Email notifications are working fine. Here is my NVR info. Please help.

Hello sorry your having some problems with your Push... There are a few things that will need to be done to get this to work...

So first you have a CVI DVR 8Ch. How many of the Cameras do you have installed on your 8Ch DVR?
Second are you accessing your DVR with your admin account?
third did you setup your system to work with P2P or you setup to work over IP only...

So where I expect it might be an issue... IP setup for your APP.. You will want to us your DVR and go to setings, Network, TCP/IP and look to make sure that p2p is infact turned on.

Now in your App on your Phone go to the Device page and Delete out the old connection type for your DVR... Then click the + to add a New Device. Now click on DVR/NVR on the Bottom left, then Click P2P type (It will ask you for your SN you can scan it in here or press enter if you can't get to the QR code) Put in a Name for your device, user admin and make the Password what your Login password for your DVR is for admin account. CLick on Live View.. now you should have your first camera come online and show 8 little dots at the top, next you will want to click on the little menu icon on the left side top 3 dots 3 lines next to it.. Then CLick push... I have yet to get my Push to give anything more then Live view and a listing of events that happen... When I try Photo or video I might get 1 or 2 then rest will only be couldn't load but does give a history of events... Pick the Cameras you want to give you push. Make sure you have them setup with Motion in the DVR...

Maybe log on with IE on your computer and take some snapshots how you have your networking setup and your motion...

Also did you turn on both Sub and main stream in the Record type of the DVR settings?
Be Safe.
