Can't Export as MP4 or AVI

Can't Export as MP4 or AVI

We have 5 Amcrest DVR's on our work campus. To make things easier for staff and to avoid using Internet Explorer, I have them all connected with Amcrest Surveillance Pro Software so they can access all 5.

We have a AMDV8M16-H5 that has 12 cameras connected to it. A few weeks ago, we had a critical video we needed exported and given to law enforcement. We normally use Amcrest Surveillance Pro to select the video and save as MP4. This has always worked for us. But on the AMDV8M16-H5, it doesn't work...it it is always showing messages like this:

THE ITEM WAS ENCODED IN A FORMAT THAT'S NOT SUPPORTED
THE FILE HAS AN UNSUPPORTED COMPRESSION FORMAT.

And even used SMART PLAYER and tried to save and export as AVI and it says:

THE FILE ISN'T PLAYABLE. THIS MIGHT BE BECAUSE THE FILE TYPE IS UNSUPPORTED, THE FILE EXTENSION IS INCORRECT, OR THE FILE IS CORRUPT.

And this only happens with the AMDV8M16-H5. All of other DVR's export to MP4 or AVI just fine.

Troubleshooting So Far
Formatted Hard Drive
Replaced Hard Drive
Factory Reset
Replaced DVR with same exact Model.

No matter what I do, I cannot export an MP4 from the AMDV8M16-H5.

Since the other models do either through Amcrest Surveillance Pro or SMART PLAYER , what can I do to fix this?

Try exporting from Surveillance Pro with other formats like asf, avi, dav, or original if available. One of them may work and you could convert it elsewhere. Also, if you are using H.265 compression, some video viewers won't support it no matter what the format is.
