Blue Iris with NVR

Post by zplugger »

Can Blue Iris read motion alerts on a Amcrest NVR? Like the way you can pause a video and take a snap shop of something. Is there a way to do this on a Amcrest NVR? I got Blue Iris to see the camera on the NVR but does not show clips that are on NVR from other dates.

Oddly enough for me I have a Snap shot button o my NVR however it never becomes highlighted and don't let me press it to take a snap shot.. For the others that might think it might be related to not having a USB stick in there I do so that isn't why... While I can't speak for all NVR's I can just say that Mine don't function as one would think it should. My NVR is a NV4108 normal not the HS so the HS might work I don't know sadly... You can clip out parts that you want and save them to USB. Sadly this is not something that is as easy as other system owned... When you clip the start and then end if you stop the feed you won't be able to export and it don't offer it before leaving play back. Always have to click the save before stop. Another device I have if you close out of the playback it will say you have clipped feed would you like to save now. Wish my Amcrest would do that my memory these days isn't as sharp as it once was..
Be Safe.

Thanks Revo2Maxx
The Blue Iris has lot of neat features, like the way you can pause the event and take snapshot of the screen. Im guessing Blue Iris is more for a computer running 24/7. Guess I will get by with what I have,seems to do the job at a good price. Still learning the system so maybe something will pop up for me.

In Amcrest Surveillance Pro or the Web UI, I can take a snapshot or record a clip when using Liveview or Playback for a camera. I would think you could also do it for a NVR camera.

@zplugger

Blue Iris should not have any issues with seeing your NVRS motion alerts, As jack7 mention your NVR and ASP (Amcrest Surveillance Pro) Should also have these features and be able to do the same thing.

If you have any other questions or concerns please feel free to let us know.
