Greetings,
I"m getting a "password error" when I try to set up wifi on my IP2M-841B using desktop setup.
Info: AMCREST IP2M-841B, Model IP2M-841B
Tried using both Mac and Windows
Updated browser plug for both safari and MS IE
wired-ethernet connected, IPConfig tool does work -finds the camera
I do have MAC address filtering enabled on wifi router, triple checked MAC address - matches (copy/pasted MAC info from Router connected devices list)
router MAC address info for camera matches IPConfig tool MAC address info for camera
added/removed MAC info from filter table, no change
** added BOTH MAC addresses to Wifi MAC table (IPConfig Tool, login, net (icon), ethernet card: wired, ethernet card: wireless)
Shortened my Wifi network key (it was long), thought it might be an issue with password length, tried new password in browser console - still "password error"
Tried "factory reset" button in browser console, waited .. waited ... waited ... then power cycled (off/on) camera, tried new password in browser console - "password error"
R2** somehow the IPConfig Tool is showing me a different wireless MAC address versus the Browser Plugin (setup - network - tcp/ip, wireless)
IPConfig Tool - xx.xx.xx.88.71.82
Browser Plugin - xx.xx.xx.68.71.82 ......88 vs 68 ????
I"ve added both MAC combo's to my router MAC filter table, so it isn't stopping either adapter.
I can now add a password to my Wifi network (saved successfully), but the browser plugin says I'm not connected to wifi network ..
Help? Works wired.

Re: Wifi Setup - Password Error, Network Disconnected
Hello,
Have you tried disabling the MAC filter to give it a try? You should not use the MAC address listed on the router when the cam is wired as it shows the wired MAC address. You need the wireless MAC ID and the best way to find it is by logging in to the cams web interface > Set UP > TCP IP > Wireless. Input the wireless MAC ID that you find there and try again. Also with some routers like Net gear, changing the wireless mode from B/G/N to B/G helps. After getting the cam to connect to wifi, you can change the setting back to original.
