Here is a picture of how I have my camera setup I am going to guess that maybe you have had to do something strange with your adding of the ASH47. So I thought I would put out there what and how I have it setup in all of the NVR's it is connected to All of the recorders area playing back Full time Main or Sub it don't matter for what machine I use for Format..

Re: What's It Called?
I am sorry forgot what NVR you have? Was it 4116-A2 or a 42xx series like 4208 or 4216-AI? It might be something about the NVR you are using. Maybe try to connect a IP channels on your 8M8-H5 or maybe it was the 16ch either way if you don't have Ip active on there setup for testing on the DVR by adding it to your DVR and setup just again for testing to see if recording to your DVR if it will show the moving of the camera. Again my systems besides my 4216E-AI that I don't have local to me right now are older and they all work. I don't know about the 4216E-AI I am going to have to swap out again so I can do more testing. That is so odd. I mean I know that I have the ability to turn off Moving in my Real PTZ cameras maybe the NVR you have has an option that it won't record while moving but to be honest that is kind of lame for people that want to use Pattern, Pan, scan or Tours to have it built into the NVR without being out in the front to turn off so someone can record in them type of settings..

Re: What's It Called?
The NVR that I have is the 4116-A2. You mention something below that I noticed when I was going through the camera stuff. It gave me an option of either Real or General. Mine are all set to General. Maybe tomorrow I"ll set it to real and see what happens. I know I promised to have the CV3 setup by tonight, but plans got change this morning to where I couldn't do it. Tomorrow different story, as it will be done.

Re: What's It Called?
UPDATE ON TOUR: The NVR 4116-A2 will record tour, but NOT from an Amcrest Camera (ASH-47)! The NVR 4116-A2 however, will record from the SV3C ip camera and preview it on ASP. No setting up presets. All can be done from the SV3C camera.
Re: What's It Called?
Yeah I am not so sold on that idea. What camera are you going to use as replacement. While you wait please try something. In your nvr, storage schedule, remove full time recording from the adh47 channel, save. Then under storage, record, change sub channel of the adh47 to manual, apply(save) what ever is the option. Now setup a tour to run for 10min or 5. Then after set time go to playback for the camera, choose sub channel and search. Should be a short line like it was when I did from sub to main in my video. Check that playback see if it's same way. Very odd they would put a none changeable block on that nvr. If true that's not good.

Re: What's It Called?
Before we go anything further into this, question. I've noticed that all my Amcrest cameras are on port TCP 37777 and my new camera is over on TCP 8080. Can someone tell me how to move my new camera over to port TCP 37777 or does it matter?

Re: What's It Called?
TCP port 8080 would be a non Amcrest non Dahua type camera. so some might use ONVIF Port 80, In fact even a Lorex doorbell uses a Different port then the 37777 even though it is Dahua type camera. So if you look at the picture below. YOu can see there is a ONVIF camera on Channel 6 and it isn't using the normal Amcrest Private Port id. The one showing Port5 is connected using the POE of the NVR it is on so uses the POE port and not a TCP port for connection.. 8080 is just out of the normal port 80 and is where a lot of different IP cameras can roam.
To make matters even more strange lol. When I do a search for open ports on the camera using 8999 in my NVR. It don't even show that it is open yet 8088 is and is another port I have cameras using when I connect to NVR's Also 8000 is open and is called IPCAM Hikvision IPCam control port. when I scan TCP and UDP of 8999 says it is closed.

So to answer my question, the answer is "no".
Okay to step #2. Thinking.......................

Re: What's It Called?
Well I don't want to say no. If your camera has WebUI then sure you might be able to make a change in the cameras settings to open a different port then what it came as Standard. Just keep in mind that at times doing this can cause issues with connections to the camera on a NVR or 3rd party software.. As you can see in my Amcrest camera has the option to make changes.
