I bought the NV4116-A2 (16 channel DVR) and a sale on Wansview W6's IP cameras. The Wansview W6 seems to support ONVIF just fine and all the settings seem okay. However, in the overview (LiveView with the 16 screens) all I get is a clock ticking and no image (black). However, if I double-click on that 1/16 blowing up to just look at the one camera window it appears the camera streams fine (maximized).
What is going on here? If this is an Amcrest just doesn't want to use this camera situation the DVR is being sent back.

Re: Wansview W6 - Cannot Stream from Liveview but when "magnified" appears fine
Hello and Welcome to the Forum
So the 4116-A2 is new Higher Tech then most of my NVR's However it is on about the same type FW that I am running on most of my NVR's so I will try and break it down to what I think it might be..
First I would double check that your Camera has a Sub Channel Turned on. If it is turned on I would double check that the Channel is within the Format that the Amcrest can run. Like. 640x480 or 704x480 as a couple of formats...
Taking a Picture of the Settings Screen of your camera would help some. For an idea of what I am talking about see picture Below.

Re: Wansview W6 - Cannot Stream from Liveview but when "magnified" appears fine
I updated the firmware to the latest on the W6 and things work now. I'm curious if I'll be able to setup motion detection and all but that could be another thread.
Re: Wansview W6 - Cannot Stream from Liveview but when "magnified" appears fine
Personally not sure, I didn't even know the W6 could connect to a Amcrest NVR. Maybe your working on RSTP format as I didn't know the W6 had ONVIF. However I would connect with your cameras app and setup the Motion grid in the app and see if it gets pulled into the NVR? Not sure it will and in that case you would want to setup for Full time Recording and it does come standard that way so really I would change the settings if you didn't on the NVR to only work main stream as motion, alarm, and IVS.
Then setup on the NVR, Storage, Record, and for sub setup manual for the channels you want to record full time. This will record at the lower Encoding rate full time and the channels that are able to work with Motion will record at full encoding rate for them events.

I'm rather certain the motion detection grid will not come up to set zones on the W6 and I do see a place in the wansview software where you can move a box around but... i really want to set it in the DVRl. Even my like 7-year-old Laview would do this sort of thing with grab-bag cameras.
Unless something is missing here I think this is going to be returned. I probably should have done my research on the camera compatibility issues.
The W6 has an option in the software to turn on ONVIF with or without authentication.

Personally not sure why you bought them for the NVR type you have there are much better options. 5m-T1179 or 5m-B1186 around same cost or slightly more, higher MP and your NVR can do 8mp. I would keep in 5 or 4mp.
However with your NVR it can work with AI cameras so something to look at in future. That will keep false alerts down using ivs, tripwire or SMD rain, leaf, clouds can ne a pain at night. With your NVR and AI cameras that can be a thing of the past.
