Replace HDD in a 960H DVR

Post by vmtr »

I have a couple of questions. Perhaps someone can help?

I have an Amcrest 960H 16CH 1TB Security Camera DVR with 16 cameras.

1) Is the size of the internal HDD limited to 4TB? I would like to add as much as possible.

2) Are there instructions for replacing the internal HDD? I am afraid of losing my settings and messing things up.

3) My current problem is that I only have 5 days of recorded video per camera...does that sound normal for this system using 16 cameras? When I bought this system I was hoping for about 4 weeks of recorded videos.

Thanks!

1) Yes the maximum size supported for 960H is 4TB

2) Please check the below video tutorial

3) Yes this appears to be normal for 16 cams with 1 TB
