Ok...I haven't figured this out yet so if someone can help....
How do I access the SD card or delete videos from the SD card without removing it and deleting from my PC?
Thanks to all!

Re: Remote File Delete from SD Card on IP2M-841
Hi there,
We cannot delete the files from the SD card from the camera's interface. The only way to erase files is by inserting it on the computer or to completely format the SD card from the camera itself.
For formatting SD card from camera go to Setup > Storage > Destination > SD Card > Format
Thank you,

Can you possibly add this to a future update please?

Hello Camhouse,
Yes we will definitely forward this to the R&D division. They certainly take into account customer suggestion for adding new features.

This is my primary concern for this product. I just rec'd it today and after an enormous headache getting it up and running which I would love for you to contact me about to save your team time in the future. This wasn't part of any of the technicians' documentation that we had time to troubleshoot as I called later in the day. But it was clear that this was not a common occurrence. I had to figure out on my own after the fact. (it involves wireless connection and local Static IP conflict and your software's DHCP functionality regarding IP assignment) But as I said the next biggest concern I have is the management of the data that can obviously only be stored on the microSD card. It seems an unfortunate oversite in the development to leave out remote data management with this being the primary means of storage. It is after-all a wireless IP camera.Melvin wrote:Hello Camhouse,

As an aside, since i'm not able to msg you directly Melvin, I did some software testing for a company in the past and have some experience with obtuse issues such as this (my above mentioned issue) including a 3 month back and fourth with AMD years back that resulted in me getting an email thanking me for the extensive troubleshooting/testing/trial and error I did trying to fix a xfire issue that they hadn't known about. After the 3 months I just dropped it and said "guess I just have one card." Got an email as the new patch was updated. As this was mostly a msg for you and has no bearing on the discussion here, please delete it after you read it and if you wish to contact me please do so as well. I asked the technician for a ticket number to reference when I called back tomorrow but wasn't provided one.

Ponder this for a moment--what if some hacker managed to remotely access your camera? Would you want him to be able to remotely access the contents of the SD card in order to copy and/or delete the files that are stored on it?

I have a FOSCAM 720 webcam that I can use FTP client to connect to a non-standard FTP port on the Ipcam to manage the files and directories on its sdcard. Amcrest should support at least this same feature. The FTP do require a user login (same as the web server admin login). Maybe it is there, just that I don't have the port number to use.
