Currently I have 4 Amcrest 943 bullet cams [ 2 wireless, 2 wired], 1 Dahua 1320 bullet cam [wired using a POE switch for power] and a NV4108 wireless NVR with 1 port.
The 2 wired Amcrest cams have to be wired not because of distance, but because there are a couple of walls interferring.
I am accessing the internet through cable ISP, using a SmartRG SR808ac [modem/router combo unit], both wireless and wired. I do get a msg on cam start up about limited resources being available.
This modem/router is wired and wireless and is my access to the internet for all my devices [4 PC's, 1 landline phone, 2 tablets, 2 smart phones [BB], Roku & TV and my security cams.
1] I am wondering if I have the cams and NVR setup in the best way? Would a modem with more ports be better?
2] The "limited resource" msg is for the Dahua cam. What is this msg about?
3] I don't seem to be able to get the Dahua connected on the NVR. I can see it on the NVR, but it won't show LIVE view.

Re: proper setup questions
It's best to have the NVR and cameras attached to the same switch so that all the traffic between them does not go through the router. Your wifi cameras would be better off wired if possible. I would attach the DGS105 switch to the router if practical. Regarding the Dahua problem, it may be because of the the way the camera was added and defined to the NVR. You might try Manual Add in NVR, and define the camera as Onvif, Dahua, or Amcrest depending on what is available, to see if it helps. If still a problem, you could try attaching Your POE switch to your router.
