Hello,
I bought back in beginning of December 2015 on Amazon.ca a camera ProHO 1080 and I really like it to keep on eye on our baby.
However in the morning when the light is half way dark, half way light, the camera keeps switching back and force between night and normal vision.
I can hear the relay clicking inside. I tried to disable the night vision option but it doesn't have any effect at all, it keeps switching.
The solution is to unplug the camera in the morning.
I updated the camera's firmware with the latest version available last weekend.
Am I missing something somewhere? Is there a way to adjust the light threshold? Is there something wrong with my camera? Does any one have the same issue?
Thank in advance
Best regards
Terry

Hello tty,
When the camera switches night and day mode there will be a clicking noise. Please try the below settings and see if that works better for you.
Did you try turning off the Night vision from the same configuration page? Login to the camera interface from a PC, go to Setup> Camera > Configuration and on then right hand side increase the D&N Delay and keep the D&N Sensitivity to low.

I had this issue and was able to fix it. There is a setting you can change so that it adds a delay after switching to day/night mode, which gives the auto exposure enough time to adjust. I just increased that time delay, and it solved the issue.

It worked! Thank for the quick answers!

Hi. I am having this same problem, but I am not able to see the adjustment for D&N sensitivity. Is the OSX software different?
Re: ProHD-1080-keeps switching back&force night vision & nor
Hi. I am also having this issue. Would someone please tell me what software I need on my PC that allows me to change this setting? I used the QR code to connect via my android phone. I have only accessed the camera via phone, tablet or through AmcrestView website. None of these provide the settings you are referring to. Any help would be appreciated.

Seriously? Nobody knows what software is used to make changes suggested above for camera IP2M-841W? WOW.
I've emailed support directly (no response yet) but in the meantime i figured somebody from these forums might be able to answer at least one of my posts.

Hello mcinturf ,
Sorry for the delayed response. You need to login to the camera with its ip address from a web browser for these settings. You can download the IPconfig tool which disaplys the cameras IP address on your PC.

Thanks Melvin. Guess I was confused. I thought there was some specific software that I had to install to config the camera. I will try to login to IP later to adjust those settings. Thanks again.
Re: ProHD-1080-keeps switching back&force night vision & normal
I just bought the IP2m-841. So far, I could be super happy about this camera, if only I didn't have the same issue as described in this post. At night, whether it is semi-dark of full dark in the room, the camera didn't stabilize between day or night mode, making a loud click noise every 5 to 10 seconds.
Changing the D&N sensitivity (to LOW) and the D&N delay (to 10s) settings of the camera using the web interface improved the situation. D&N mode takes longer to switch between on another (between 20s to 30s), but it keeps switching in full dark rooms, making it unusable for my need.
Any suggestions ? Could my camera be defective ? Thanks
