Wondering if it is possible to parse the username and password in a link, such as...
http://192.168.xxx.xxx/?user=myusername&pwd=mypassword
I've tried different variations but always go to a login screen.
Thanks!
Parsing User and Password in URL link to IP5M
Re: Parsing User and Password in URL link to IP5M
Well, I am not sure if this is what your looking for or not but I would try whatever it is your trying with this...
http://admin:[email protected]/cgi-b ... &channel=1 (Changing your info in place of mine meaning your user and password and IP in the place of mine listed and when I run that as stated here I get) all this text below without being asked to log in past what I offered in my command line.. Sorry if that isn't what your asking about as I am not sure what CGI your looking to run

Re: Parsing User and Password in URL link to IP5M
Thank you for the response. I'm afraid I haven't explained my objective properly...
If I put the i.p. address of the camera into a web browser (Chrome, in my case), I get a pop up for the username and password. Entering the correct credentials take me to the camera web gui page and displays the live view image.
With other cameras I have been able to use the format from my original post...
http://192.168.xxx.xxx/?user=myusername&pwd=mypassword
...takes me directly to the live view for the camera. I'm simply hoping to avoid manually entering the login credentials.
Thank you!

Re: Parsing User and Password in URL link to IP5M
Including user credentials in a URL hasn't worked for me for some time now whereas it once did. It's a browser issue and I believe that it became deprecated a few years ago when most browsers stopped supporting it. I believe that Win 10 also intervenes to prevent it.
Apart from changing settings for which the webui is ideal, I think you're better off using an app to access and monitor your camera/s.

Re: Parsing User and Password in URL link to IP5M
Don't know sorry I Guess I don't have a way to help then.. I ran what I posted above in IE, Chrome and Edge and all came back with results that I posted in the Webrowser... So I was trying to think of what I could do to show this in a Video and at first I thought I can't because it would show my user and password LOL duh Change it lol.. OK So I made a video.. you can see it here... http://youtu.be/vu11nxlIsnI
I didn't run your CGI I don't have any way or need for the Video, The info I provided was just to give you how the User and Password needs to be setup in running the commands and ran the first command that I found that didn't give personal data about my camera as I don't need that mistake floating around the Net lol..
I didn't do any Editing, I just ran from start to finish with all my mixed words and there is nothing done outside of just a pure screen capture with audio..
