My NV1104 can no longer maintain an ethernet connection. I am able to view both of my cameras individually through IP connection and through Survelance Pro desktop app with no issue. When I live view from the DVR, I see it is loosing connection to my router and creating gaps and freezes in my video recordings. I have tried just recording one channel at a time and the issue remains. All devices on my network hare assigned static IP's and the NVR has no issue authenticating on the network.
All of my IP configs are correct but the connection is intermittent and erratic. Here is a summary of what I am currently experiencing...
* Alarm Status monitor on NV1104 has "Net Offline" showing intermittently along with "Net Disconnection" five times a minute in the activity log.
* My router reports Ethernet Status of NV1104 is connecting and disconnecting intermittently
* Cameras are themselves connected via WiFi. I have no issues with the cameras as they are producing a steady video feed and rarely disconnect from the Wi-FI
* Cameras are discovered and being recorded when Ethernet connection is working properly. However, Connection is often lost and reconnected by NVR, creating gaps in recordings.
I have already RMA'd one unit and this is a refurbished replacement for a new device purchase. I'm not a newbie when it comes to networking but is there something I could have missed that would create issues for the NVR?
NVR NV1104 Network Disconnect Issues
Re: NVR NV1104 Network Disconnect Issues
Hello RebelRoundeye,
Please try the below settings and see how it works.
1) If you have a TV/Monitor connected to the NVR, go to settings > Network > and select the option 'Dynamic' instead of static and save the settings. reboot the NVR from the Menu.
2) Please try using a different ethernet cable. If you are using a very long ethernet cable, sometimes it can be an issue
3) Please try connecting the NVR to a different port in the router.

Thank you for your help.
Unfortunately, I have tried your suggestions and neither of them produced positive results.
DHCP option does not resolve net disconnects
Alternate cables and ports do not resolve net disconnects.

Did you solve the problem? My NV1104 purchase on Amazon is on its way.

Hello RebelRoundeye ,
It could be a bad ethernet port on the NVR as you said you have swapped cables and ports already. If you have a chance you could try a different router to see if that works. If not I would suggest an RMA.

I guess there is a switching issue with my current router. The thing is, I have a separate ethernet switch attached to the router to provide network connectivity elsewhere in my store. When I connected the NVR to this switch, everything works fine. If I plug it into the router like I had before everything slows down, and stops... network disconnects out the wazoo.
So, I have found a new home for the NVR so that it can connect to the switch. I don't know how this is really providing me a solution but at least it's working for now.
Thanks for the help.
