I've just set up my second camera and in the process of testing it. Since my first camera points outside and has the IR lights off for recording through a window, I'm not familiar with using a camera with the IR lights on.
So, the second camera is in a darkened room with some light entering through the hallway. When I view with Live View, the scene is fairly well lit and in color. But there are intermittent bright flashes, at which time the room is brightly lit, and after a short time returns to the normal state and then starts the whole process all over again. There's no movement that's triggering anything and I can't find anything in the settings to change. Any suggestions as to what might be causing the constant flashes and what to do about it?
Thanks.

Re: Night Vision and Bright Flashes
Okay, it looks like I figured it out. The camera is on a shelf between a box and a plastic storage container. I think the lights might have been reflecting against the plastic next to the camera. I moved the plastic container back so it wasn't in the field of view and when I just looked at Live View, there were no flashes. The video's also streaming in black and white, not color like before. So it's working like I would have expected it to.
