Hi- Tried searching the forums, but couldn't figure-out what the heck i was looking at.... I have a 960h with 4 cameras and up until just recently, everything was working perfectly. I was able to access my device and see Live View of the cameras, search and playback recordings. I installed the Amcrest Link app on my iPhone 5S running iOS v 9.3.2.
Suddenly one day (this past Sunday), I couldn't access my DVR/960 from the Link app. I hadn't changed anything at all, and went to the DVR to check -- all was running on the DVR as expected, and camera recording, viewable, etc. Everything on the 960 working. But despite repeatedly attempting to access the device from the Link app, I simply get a "login failed" notification. I tried uninstalling the device, and re-adding. Still get LF. Tried adding a new account on the 960, and get same LF. In desperation I deleted the Link app from my phone, and readded. Set up the device, and tried to log-in -- STILL GET LF!!!!
This is ridiculously annoying, especially when I have tried every reasonable "fix" to resolve. I JUST WANT THE LINK APP TO WORK LIKE IT WAS!!! Please help? Anyone have this happen to them?
Link App on iPhone Login FAIL
Re: Link App on iPhone Login FAIL
Hello jawells,
Please make sure that the DVR is plugged in to the router properly and its getting an ip address. If plugged in from the monitor, go to Network settings > General and the IP address of the DVR is displayed there.
Under Network Access, check the option 'Dynamic' and then Apply the settings. Go to the main menu and Shutdown > Reboot. After this delete the DVR from the app and add it again.
