IP2M-842W re-install on mobile apps

I have an Amcrest IP2M-842 that has been working well with my mobile apps. I updated the camera to the newest hardware update with no problems. The camera works fine with Blue Iris software. I also have the AMCREST Pro for Android on my phone, so if I get an alert I can "Go Live" and watch what is happening. I find this very useful while on vacation. So I updated the camera and went thru the normal add a camera the app requires only to timeout, attempt after attempt. Does anyone have an idea what I am missing?

Hello millertime101 ,

Try to set up the camera from scratch after doing a hard reset. This will need you to join the bare wires on the back of the camera for 30 seconds.

This process can be tedious but after a firmware update a hard reset is recommended.

Thank you, I was afraid of that. This particular update said it did not require a hard reset. I will give that a try. Thank you. I will report back.
