ip2m-841b blue iris settings

I am trying to configure a ip2m-841b in Blue Iris without luck. I'm not sure what the problem is. I have the IP address in and the user account information. Otherwise all defaults for the camera. I have been able to verify the camera works in the amcrest app and via ip through another app on my phone.

Someone had posted a png file which seemed to help some folks when I did a search, but that photo is down now. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello bornto,

Please follow the below steps.

Step 1: Right click on an empty space on the Blueiris video display interface and select "Add new camera"

Step 2: Select the option IP/Network Device

Step 3: Enter the full address of the system into the "http://" field at the top including the port number if it has a custom HTTP port assigned.

Step 4. Select Make as "Generic" and Model as "RTSP H.264/MJPG/MJPEG4"

Step 5: Copy and paste this address to the Path field: /cam/realmonitor?channel=1&subtype=0

Step 6: Make sure the RTSP port of the device is correctly mentioned in the "Media/video/RTSP port". If the customer wants to add the system from remote location make sure the HTTP and the RTSP ports are port forwarded on the router correctly.

Hi, I know this thread is old but it has been my best lead on the internet.. I have done all the above steps but I am not seeing the Amcrest 960h DVR cameras appear.. When I don't enter the path I do see Channel 1 camera appear...?? I can get channel one.. When I follow the above steps exactly I don't get anything I tried changing the /cam/realmonitor?channel=1&subtype=0 to /cam/realmonitor?channel=2&subtype=0 etc and still can only see channel 1. I dont see anything when I specify a path? Please help I am running out of options

Ah HA! FIgured it out right after I was about to give up.. Anyone out there who may read this one day just in case.. Try changing the Make Model to Amcrest 960H DVR H.264 RTSP in drop down menu. It will auto populate the path /h264Preview_01_main.

Use the Paths:
/h264Preview_01_main
/h264Preview_02_main
/h264Preview_03_main
/h264Preview_04_main

To add all your camera channels to blue iris, these paths work in Generic also. Good luck!
